Wildlife Institute of India, Chandrabani, Dehradun – 248 001 has invited applications for admission to Post Graduate Diploma Course in Advanced Wildlife Management, to be commenced on 1st September 2011.

Eligibility: The course is meant for in-service Indian Forest Service and State Forest Service Officers of the rank of Deputy Conservator of Forests (DCF)/Assistant Conservator of Forests (ACF) and equivalent. Candidates should possess a background of Forestry training with a minimum of Bachelor's degree in any of the natural sciences.
Foreign nationals with forestry background at equivalent levels are also eligible for admission to the course, provided they have adequate knowledge of English.
Both Indian and Foreign candidates should not be more than 45 years of age as on September 1, 2011. They should be fit to withstand the arduous outdoor training programme.
Admission to the course for Indian as well as foreign candidates will be on a “first come-first served” basis.

PG Diploma in Media and Disability Communication, Admissions 2011-2012


Ali Yavar Jung National Institute for the Hearing Handicapped, (AYJNIHH) Mumbai, in collaboration with Department of Communication, University of Mumbai offers one-year Post Graduate Diploma Course in Media & Disability Communication, specializing in ‘Accessible Media Programs and Universal Design’ for careers in the media industry.

During the one-year course the students can learn to make various types of accessible media programs & products. They will have “hands on” experience in making short films in accessible format and learn how to increase the market of the digital media, through captioning, audio-description, Indian Sign Language (ISL) and accessible website creation etc.

Eligibility criteria are a Diploma or Degree in Journalism/Communication or Public Relations course with 50% marks. Candidates who have appeared for their final examinations can also apply.
Fees are Rs.19,000/- (for those not availing hostel facility) and Rs.31,600/ (for those availing hostel facility).

Prescribed application form and prospectus can be obtained from the respective centers in person or by post on payment of Rs. 500/- for General Category and Rs. 300/- for SC/ST/PH by way of Demand Draft in favour of “The Director, AYJNIHH, Mumbai”.
