Eligibility: EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATIONS

For Delhi and outside Delhi Region (except the nominees of Ministry of Govt. of India) the candidate should have appeared in AIEEE-2011 and have been declared eligible for Central Counseling Board by the C.B.S.E.

A candidate who has passed any of the following qualifying examinations from a recognized School/ College/Institute located within NCT of Delhi (for Delhi Region candidates) or located outside NCT of Delhi (for Outside Delhi Region candidates) only and securing 60 % or more marks in the aggregate of Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics, shall be eligible to apply for admission to the first semester of Bachelor of Engineering Courses provided he has passed in each subject in one of the following examinations separately:

(i) Senior School Certificate Examination (12-year course) of the Central Board of Secondary Education (C.B.S.E.), New Delhi.

(ii) Indian School Certificate Examination (12-year course) of the Council for Indian School Certificate Examination, New Delhi.

(iii) Any other examination recognized as equivalent to the Senior School Certificate Examination of the C.B.S.E. by the University of Delhi.



A candidate must additionally have passed English as a subject of study either at the 10th Class level or 12th Class level (core or elective).

Note:

(i) Candidate who has appeared at the appropriate qualifying annual Examination mentioned above of the year 2011 and placed in compartment will not be eligible for admission for the year 2011-2012.

(ii) Candidate who has appeared at the appropriate qualifying annual Examination mentioned above of the year 2011 and reappeared for the improvement to acquire the eligibility will not be considered for admission for the year 2011-2012.

(iii) No admission will be made directly to the second or any subsequent semester of the course.

(iv) No change of branch will be permitted after the commencement of the second semester, even if some seats fall vacant in some of the branches during the course of second semester.

(v) No admission will be made after 31.08.2011 without prior approval of the competent authority.



RELAXATION IN MARKS FOR RESERVED CATEGORIES

Candidates belonging to the following categories, who apply for seats reserved for them, shall be allowed a relaxation in the minimum eligibility requirements of marks in the qualifying examination as detailed below:

1. SCHEDULED CASTES (SC) AND SCHEDULED TRIBES (ST):

Candidate belonging to Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes shall be allowed 10 percent relaxation in the minimum eligibility requirements of marks in the aggregate of Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics in the qualifying examination as mentioned above.

2. CHILDREN OF DEFENCE CATEGORY (DC):

Candidate under this category shall be allowed relaxation of five percent in the minimum eligibility requirements of marks in the aggregate of Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics in the qualifying examinations as mentioned above.

3. PHYSICALLY CHALLANGED (PH):

Candidate belonging to Physically Challenged category shall be allowed 5% relaxation in the minimum eligibility requirements of marks in the aggregate of Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics in the qualifying examinations as mentioned above.

AGE REQUIREMENT

Candidate must be 17 years of age on or before the first day of October of the year in which he seeks admission. Relaxation in minimum age with the prior approval of the Vice-Chancellor is permissible at the time of admission.



How To Apply: DOCUMENTS REQUIRED AT THE TIME OF B.E. ADMISSIONS (2011-12)

1. Demand Draft/Pay Order in favor of Director, NSIT, New Delhi, payable at Delhi for payment of prescribed fee.

2. Receipt of Andhra Bank for deposit of one time non-refundable registration fee of Rs.1000/- by the candidate.

3. Print out of application form duly attested either by Principal of School/ Institution last attended or by a Gazetted Officer.

4. Two copies of latest Passport Size Colour Photographs duly attested by any of the authorities specified at S.No.3 above.

5. The original and attested copy of Admit Card of AIEEE-2011 (Not applicable to the nominees of Govt. of India).

6. The original and attested copy of Rank Card of AIEEE-2011 (Not applicable to the nominees of Govt. of India).

7. The original and attested copy of Mark Sheet of the qualifying examination.

8. The original and attested copy of Passing Certificate of the qualifying examination.

9. The original and attested copy of class Tenth / High School passing Certificate in support of Date of Birth.

10. The original caste/category certificate and its attested copy (for the reserved category only).

11. The original and attested copy of Medical fitness certificate for all (except PH Category).

12. Medical certificate of physical challenged (PH), in original, issued by the duly notified Medical Board of a District/Government Hospital set up for examining the physically challenged candidates under the provisions of Persons with Disability (equal opportunities, protection of rights and full participation) Act, 1995. The Certificate should indicate the extent (i.e. percentage) of the physical disability and should bear the photograph of the candidate concerned by one of the doctors constituting the Board issuing the Certificate.

13. All candidates are required to bring all the original certificates at the time of admission for verification.
