Programme Overview
This programme will
focus on business areas of critical importance to top and senior management.
The areas addressed will include, transformational leadership, winning the
global war for talent, creating global brands, becoming a successful global
competitor, strategic finance, core competencies and strategic innovation,
winning through cost-effective service excellence, global operations and supply
chain management, cross - cultural management and customer centric
organizations.
The senior Management
Programme will be a challenging and energizing learning experience. It will
transform the performance of both the participants who attend and the
organizations the represent. The programme prepares them to successfully
address the diverse challenges facing top executives in today’s dynamic global
marketplace.
Participants will
immerse themselves in a curriculum that examines the economic, political,
social and ethical demands of top leadership. The programme will bring our
unique corporate-academic partnership of world-renowned faculty and business
leaders, drawn from our unprecedented international corporate and academic
network, to our classrooms. The teaching methods deliberately encourage debate,
discussion and information sharing. The participant will learn not only from
the faculty but also from frequent formal and informal discussions with their
peers.
Programme Objectives
The programme is
especially designed to focus on the issues of key concern to those at or near
the top of their organizations. It deals with:
How to effectively
lead organizations in the 21st century.
How to capture and
sustain value from global markets
How to implement
strategy and engage the organization in change
How to create
stakeholder value and ensure sustained financial performance
It aims to transform
the performance of the participants who attend and the organizations they
represent
This programme is
divided into two modules:
The introductory
module focuses on the essentials of functional skills of management
The advanced module
shifts focus to strategic thinking, decision – making, leadership styles and
managing business globally
Course Structure:
Classroom Component:
This component forms the core of the SMP. Spread over 1 year, it will consist
of 210 instructional hours through the Interactive Onsite Learning Mode.
Campus Contact
Component: This component is held once during the 1-year programme. This is a
crucial component covering 5 days (30 hours), which provides the participants
among other tools, an orientation towards case based learning. It is compulsory
for all participants. It would be held at the IIMK Campus. Students will make
their own arrangements for board and lodging during the campus contact
component at IIMK.
Certification
IIM Kozhikode shall
carry out the examination and evaluation required for certification.
IIM Kozhikode will
directly award a certificate of completion to participants who complete the
programme successfully.
Eligibility:
Applicants should be
working professionals/self-employed
Graduates (10+2+3) in
any discipline with minimum 50% marks [aggregate- considering results of all
years (e.g. 3 or 4 together )] recognized by UGC/AICTE(in india)
Minimum 10 years of
work experience (full-time paid employment) post completion of graduation as on
