The National law school University, Delhi established in 2008 by Act 1 of 2008 is premier Law University established in the capital city of India. The vision of the University is to make legal education an instrument of social,political and economic change. FIVE-YEAR B.A.,LL.B.(Hons.)PROGRAMME
Elgibility: Senior Secondary School Examination(10+2 system)or equivalent Examination with not less than 50% of marks in the aggregate(those who have appeared in the examination in March/April, 2009 can also apply)
Age Limit: Below 21 years as on 1st July, 2009(23 years in case of SC/ST candidates)
Total Seats: 80(eighty) [70(seventy)seats on merit through all India Entrance Examination and 10(ten)seats for direct admission to Foreign Nationals on merit]. Foreign Nationals to be eligible should have 65% marks in the qualifying examination.
Reservation: 15% for SC Candidates, 7.5% for ST Candidates, 3% for Persons with Disabilities.
Scholarships: The University provides liberal financial assistance for the needy and deserving students.
Admission will be strictly on merit through all India Entrance Examination to be conducted at Ahmedabad, Bangalore, Chandigarh, Chennai, Cochin, Delhi, Guwahati, Hyderabad, Jaipur,Jammu, Kolkatta, Lucknow, Mumbai and Patna on Sunday, the 3rd May, 2009 from 3.30 pm to 5.00pm. If sufficient number of applications are not received for a centre, the University reserves the right to cancel the said centre and shift the applicants of that centre to another nearest centre.

Indira Gandhi Institute of Development research(IGIDR) invites application for admission to the External Ph.D.Programme(Development Studies)
It is an interdisciplinary programme, with emphasis on all areas of economics including energy and environment policy, commencing August 2009. Applicants with a minimum of three years of work experience from research and academic institutions, industry and government can apply. The External Ph.D.Programme involves course work. There wil be no scholarships or tuition fee waivers.
Eligibility: (a) Minimum qualification: M.A./M.Sc. in Economics/M.Stat/M.Sc.(physics, mathematics,statistics, environmental science or operations research)MBA/M.Tech/M.E./B.Tech/B.E. or equivalent with at least 55% aggregate marks for economics discipline and 60% aggregate marks for other disciplines. The applicant must have studied mathematics sat the higher secondary level or should be able to demonstrate equivalent mathematical ability (b) The applicants ought to have a minimum of three years of work experience and they need to apply with the No Objection Certificate along with leave authorization on the official letterhaead of the organization duly signed by the authorized official of the organization. (c) Applicants be preferably below 45 years of age, it can be relaxed in case of exceptional candidates:

Candidates should apply not later than April 30, 2009 with (a) their current curriculum vita. (b)two passport size photographs (c)two reference letters(in sealed envelopes and on official letterhaeads of the issuing authority (d) No objection certificate along with leave authorization on the official letter head of the organization duly signed by the asuthorized official of the organization (e) a self certified original research proposal not exceeding 3000 words (f)research publicastions(if any)and (g)a bank draft of Rs.200 (non-refundable)payable to Indira Gandhi institute of development research(IGIDR)at Mumbai to the Admissions office, IGIDR, Gen.A.K.Vaidya Marg, Goregaon(East)Mumbai-065.

Reservation: Reservation of seats for SC/ST(physically disabled categories will be as per the Government of India rules.
