General Prospectus

HOW TO OBTAIN APPLICATION FORMS
􀁦 Candidates seeking admission to any course at JVBU during the academic session 2008-2009 may obtain the prescribed Application Form along with the Prospectus from the University Counter at JVBU on cash payment or download form their website: www.jvbi.ac.in.
􀁦 The cost of Prospectus along with the Application Form for each course includes the Entrance Test/Admission Procedure Fee. No any other fee is required to be submitted at the time of submission of the Application Form accept applications fees.
􀁦 The Application Form and Prospectus may also be obtained through post by sending crossed Demand Draft of an amount as shown in Table (under the column Application Fees) drawn in favour of “Registrar, JVBU” payable at Ladnun along with a self-addressed envelop of 30x25 c.m. size affixing postage stamps worth Rs. 50 /- clearly indicating the name of the course for which the Application Form is required. The request for sending a set of Application Form and prospectus should be addressed to the Registrar, JVBU, Ladnun.

Eligibility: 10+2+3 or its Equivalent with 50% marks in aggregate

2. M.Phil. in Jainology (01 Year; 15 seats)
Eligibility: 50% marks in M.A. or Acharya of the following subjects :
Jainology, Comparative Religion, Comparative Philosophy, Sanskrit, Prakrit, Pali and Manuscriptology Science.
Application Form Fee: 500/-

3. M.A. in Prakrit (02 Years; 15 seats)
Eligibility: 10+2+3 or its Equivalent with 50% marks in aggregate
Application Form Fee: 200/-

4. M.Phil. in Prakrit (01 Year; 15 seats)
Eligibility: 50% marks in M.A. or Acharya of the following subjects :
Prakrit and Jain Agam, Pali, Sanskrit, Apabharamsa literature, Jainology (Jain Philosophy), Linguistics, Hindi literature, Rajasthani language and literature, Philosophy, Manuscriptology etc.

Note:
1. All eligible applicants are allowed to appear at the test/interviews and group discussion whereever prescribed. No separate information will be sent.
2. The candidates arriving for admission will have to make their own arrangemetns for board & lodging. Arrangement for stay may be made in the hostels, provided accommodation is available and provided that the applicant informs the office in writing beforehand, The candidates will have to bring their beddings with them and bear the traveling and food expenses.
