1. Applications are invited in the prescribed form for admission to the following Two year Master of Science Degree Programmes offered by Mangalore University with R.V. Centre for Cognitive Technologies, Bangalore as Study Centre for contact programmes including conduct of practicals, conduct of examinations etc.
A) Master of Science in ASIC Design.
B) Master of Science in Mobile Communication & Internet
C) Master of Science in Information Technology
Eligibility:
(a) Master of Science in Application Specific Integrated Circuit (ASIC) Design and
(b) Master of Science in Mobile Communication and Internet Technologies
Candidates who have passed bachelors degree in Engineering / AMIE / AMIETE (Electrical / Computer Science Streams) / Equivalent
OR
Bachelor of Science Degree with the following Optional subjects: Electronics / Physics / Computer Science / Information Technology / Computer Applications or Bachelor of Computer applications of Mangalore University or any other University considered as equivalent thereto by Mangalore University with one year Industrial Experience in relevant area.
(c) Master of Science in Information Technology
Candidates who have passed Bachelors degree in Engineering / AMIE / AMIETE (Electrical / Computer Science Streams) / Equivalent
OR
Bachelor of Science Degree with the following Optional subjects: Electronics / Physics / Computer Science / Information Technology / Computer Applications or Bachelor of Computer Applications of Mangalore University or any other University considered as equivalent thereto by Mangalore University with one year Industrial Experience in relevant area.
OR
Bachelors degree of any recognized University with one year PGDCA / PGDIT from any recognized University or DOEACC`A' Certificate or GNIIT or DAC from C-DAC / MOSE / PGDST from CIST or PGDEDPCM from Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan or Graduation + 3 years Professional IT Experience / IT Teaching Experience. Candidates with Master degree in Geo Informatics/ Bio Informatics are also eligible.

2. Application forms and Prospectus containing other details such as course details, course fee may be either obtained in person from the The Director, R.V. Centre for Cognitive Technologies, R.V. College of Engineering Campus, Bangalore - 560 059 on payment of Rs.1000/- by way of challan in the ING-Vysya Bank, RVCE Branch, or by post by sending a bank draft for Rs.1050/- drawn in favor of R.V. Centre for Cognitive Technologies, payable at Bagalore, clearly indicating the Candidate’s name and address for communication.

3. Duly filled in application form along with attested copies of certificates/ testimonials/experience certificate shall be sent to the Director, R.V. Centre for Cognitive Technologies, R.V. College of Engineering Campus, R.V. Vidyaniketan Post, Bangalore - 560 059 on or before 15.02.2008.

4. Course fee to be paid along with the application in the form of D.D. drawn in favour of Mangalore University payable at Bangalore or by bank challan favouring Mangalore University, ING Vysya Bank, RVCE Branch, Bangalore-560 059.

5. Incentive : A few freeships are available to postgraduates in Physics & Mathematics who wish to pursue these programs. Such freeships will provide for waiver of the course fee and in addition the freeship involves grant of scholarship of Rs.4,500/- per month. Preference will be given to BE graduates in IT branches for the same. However such candidates will have to execute an undertaking and equal amount of surety from a responsible person to the effect that after completion of the MS program they will serve R.V. College of Engineering for a minimum period of 5 years.
