DIRECTORATE OF INDIAN MEDICINE AND HOMOEOPATHY, CHENNAI-GOVERNMENT OF TAMIL NADU


Admission Notification to BSMS,BAMS,BUMS,BHMS,BNYS Courses

Applications are invited for admission to BSMS/BAMS/BUMS/ BHMS/BNYS Courses for 2008-2009 in Government and Self financing Medical Colleges in Tamil Nadu from the candidates passed in Higher Secondary Courses.

1. Application form and prospectus for BSMS/BAMS/BUMS/BHMS/BNYS courses will be available from 26-06-2008 to 18-07-2008 from the following Government Medical Colleges
a) The Principal, Govt. Siddha Medical College, Palayamkottai, Tirunelveli District.
b) The Principal, Govt. Siddha Medical College, Chennai-600 106.
c) The Principal, Govt. Unani Medical College, Chennai-600 106.
d) The Nodal Officer, Government Yoga and Naturopathy Medical College, Chennai-106
e) The Principal, Govt. Homeopathy Medical College, Thirumangalam, Madurai District.

Application form sand prospectus will not be issued from the Directorate of Indain Medicine and Homoeopathy and Office of the Selection Committee, Arumbakkam, Chennai-106.

2. Candidates can obtain the application either in person or by post on written requisition to the Principal of the above Government Colleges duly enclosing a Crossed Demand Draft drawn in favour of DIRECTOR OF INDIAN MEDICINE AND HOMOEOPATHY, PAYABLE AT CHENNAI obtained form any one of the NATIONALISED BANKS on or after 25-06-2008.

3. Cost of Application: Rs.500/-
Common Application form for BSMS/BAMS/BUMS/ BHMS/BNYS
Application form for each special category: Rs.100/-

If the application is required to be sent by post ordinary postal stamp to the value of Rs.70/- (Rupees Seventy only) should be enclosed along with the requisition . SC/ST candidates have to produce a Xerox Copy of eh Community Certificate along with the written requisition. Delay on the part of Postal Department will not be considered.

SC/ST candidates are empted form paying the cost of application fee. They can obtain application on written requisition duly enclosing attested Xerox Copy of the Community Certificate. They can obtain e the application form by post duly enclosing postal stamp to the value of Rs.70 (Rupees Seventy only)

SPECIAL CATEGORIES:
a. Physically Handicapped
b. Children of Freedom fighters
c. Children of Ex-serviceman
d. Eminent Sports person
e. Government of India nominee
f. Heirs of Registered Indian Medicine Practitioners
g. Candidates who has studied Siddha as a special subject

Candidates applying under Special Category should submit the Special Category application along with common application form for each Special Category subject to the maximum of Three Special Categories. Candidates applying under Sports Category should submit the applications necessary documents in person at the office of the Selection Committee, Chennai 106. Without required documents, their claim will not be considered under any circumstances.

THE LAST DATE FOR THE ISSUE OF APPLICATION: 18-07-2008 UPTO 3.00 PM

4. Completed application with necessary enclosures should be delivered to the following address duly superscribed as APPLICATION FOR ADMISSION TO BSMS/BAMS/BUMS/ BHMS/BNYS Course 2008-2009. Application received after the last date and time will not be accepted irrespective of the date of booking.

M.D. (SIDDHA) COURSE 2008-2009 NOTIFICATION from DIRECTORATE OF INDIAN MEDICINE AND HOMOEOPATHY, GOVERNMENT OF TAMILNADU

M.D. (SIDDHA) COURSE 2008-2009

NOTIFICATION

Application are invited form General, Special Category including foreign Candidates from Countries Sri Lanka, Malaysia and Singapore for admission to 80 seats in the three year M.D. (Siddha) Post-Graduate Course 2008-2009 session in the Government Siddha Medical College at Palayamkottai, Tirunelveli district and Chennai.

QUALIFICATION FOR ADMISSION (INDIAN/ FOREIGN CANDIDATES)
Candidate should possess a Degree in Siddha which find place in Schedule III and IV of the IMCC Act 1970 of Central Council of Indian Medicine, New Delhi. A proof should be enclosed. The candidates should have registered their names with the Tamil Nadu Siddha Medical Council, Chennai.

APPLICATION PROCEDURE:
Application forms may be downloaded form the websites at www.tnhealth.org or may be obtained in person from the Pricipal, Governemtn of Siddha Medical College, Palayamkottai, Tirunelveli District, Taml Nadu and the Principal, Government Siddha Medical College, Arignar Anna Government Hospital of Indian Medicine Campus, Arumbakkam, Chennai 600106 Tamil Nadu form 08-04-2008 to 30-04-2008 on working hours by giving a request letter along with application fees by way of a crossed demand draft issued by any Nationalised Bank drawn on or after 06-04-2008 for Rs.750/- (Rupees Seven Hundred and Fifty only) in favour of “DIRECTOR OF INDIAN MEDICINE AND HOMOEOPATHY CHENNAI-600106” payable at CHENNAI. SC/ST candidates domiciled in Tamil Nadu are exempted form payment of application fees of Rs.750/- if their signed, written request containing full residential address is accompanied by attested photocopy of Degree Certificate and an attested photocopy of Community Certificate. Application Forms are not transferable.

Candidates may also obtain application forms by post by enclosing with their letter and application fees (exempted for SC/ST Candidates) a self-addressed envelope of size 30cm x 20cm affixed with postage of Rs.50/- (Rupees Fifty only). Postal requests sent without postage paid envelope will be rejected.

The competed application together with enclosures should reach the Secretary, Selection Committee, Directorate of Indian Medicine and Homoeopathy, Arumbakkam, Chennai-600106. Tamil Nadu in the cover prescribed by the due date. Applications received after thee due date and time for any reason or postal delay shall be rejected.

NOTABLE DATES:
Last date for receipt of fully completed application: 30.04.2008 – 5.45 pm.
Date of Entrance Examination: 10.05.2008 – 9.30 am.

APPLICATION PROCEURE (FOREIGN CANDIDATES)
Foreign Candidates shall follow the same procedure as for Indian Candidates, but they shall correspond only to the Secretary, Selection Committee, Office of the Director of Indian Medicine and Homoeopathy, Arumbakkam, Chennai-600106, Tamil Nadu for obtaining application forms or they may downloaded the form from their website. However, they shall pay, without exception, a sum of US$ 20 (US$ Twenty only) by IMO or banker’s demand draft payable on a Nationalized Bank at Chennai. Application completed in all aspects accompanied by payment for application forms downloaded form out website and all required enclosures should be received by Selection Committee by 5.45 pm on 30.04.2008.

Candidates should apply well in advance. Delay of application or loss in transit will not be an acceptable reason and such applications shall be rejected. Applications received by Speed Post/Courier or nay other mean, after last date & time will not be accepted irrespective of the date of booking.
