PGPD-SEDE PROGRAMME 2008 (PG Professional Diploma in Special Education) Distance Education Programme at MPBOU
MADHYA PRADESH BHOJ (OPEN) UNIVERSITY AND REHABILITATION COUNCIL OF INDIA

APPLICATIONS ARE INVITED FOR ADMISSION TO
PGPD-SEDE (Post Graduate Professional Diploma in Special Education Distance Education) PROGRAMME (2008)

The successful candidate of this programme becomes equivalent to B.Ed. –SEDE Degree hold with specialization in opted Disability Area.

Applications are invited for admission to PGPD-SEDE (Post Graduate Professional Diploma in Special Education Distance Education) PROGRAMME at 68 Study Centres as per list provided in this institute’s website or refer employment news dated 5 – 11 January, 2008. p.38.

Contents: PGPD – SEDE PROGRAMME
Duration: Minimum 9 months, maximum 33 months

Contact Sessions: 180 hours (4 weeks) in 2 Contact Sessions of 90 Hours (2 weeks)

Specialization in any one Disability Area: Visually Impaired (VI), Mentally Retarded (MR), Hearing Impaired (HI)

ELIGIBILITY:
Any B.Ed Degree holder OR any Bachelor of Special Education OR B.Ed-SEDE Degree holder who wants to specialize in any other Disability Area.

PROGRAMME FEE: Rs.5000/- (Rupees Five Thousand only)

Last Day of Submission of Application forms at Study Centre: January 31, 2008

Date of issue of the List of Candidates Provisionally Selected for Admission in MBOU website: www.bhojvirtualuniversity.com and RCI website: www.rehabcouncil.nic.in : March 21, 2008

Programme Guide with Application Forms may be obtained form the HOD, Department of Special Education, MPBOU, ITI (Gas Rahat) Building, Govindpura, Bhopal-462023 or from study centers by paying Rs.250/- (through Speed-Post) or Rs.200/- (by hand) through a DD drawn in favour of The Registrar, MPBOU payable at Bhopal. You can also apply through On-line ‘Net Form’ from website http://www.bhojvirtualuniversity.com on or before January 24, 2008.

Note: If for any reason, any of the study centers become non-functional then the candidates will be shifted to a suitable study center.

ABOUT MPBOU
Madhya Pradesh Bhoj (Open) University (MPBOU) had established under an Act of State Assembly in 1991. This University disseminates knowledge and quality education to different target group of learners irrespective of their age, gender, region, status and employment. MPBOU is providing easily accessible and quality higher education through Open and Distance Learning (ODL) system. One of the important objectives of the University, as mentioned in the Act, is the extension and expansion of Higher Education by reaching the unreached through various flexible means suited to the open and distance education mode using emerging Information and Communication Technology. In view of this objective maximum study centres of MPBOU are in those areas where there are no other system of higher education in the vicinity of 30 km. The University also gives due emphasis to special target groups of learners coming from rural/tribal areas and those suffering from the physical disabilities. The MPBOU has an enrolment of 1.5 lac students and is the second largest Open University in the country.
The aim of this University is to develop and provide easily accessible system of higher education and training, by use of different modes of educational inputs such as lessons in print, text books, contact teaching, practical classes, TV/Radio/Video/Audio programmes, using satellite communication, etc. The University has developed a systems which are capable of providing quality higher education and training even in remote and less developed rural and tribal areas. A feature of the system is the orientation to take special care of the requirements, expectations and training needs of interested individuals, practicing professionals and students. The goal of the University is to provide higher education and training at the doorstep of the professionals, students and other seekers of education.
