ADMISSIONS 2009-2010 Flour Milling Technology

Flour Milling Technology

Central Food Technological Research Institute (CFTRI), Mysore has invited applications for admission to the 12 months Regular residential course in Flour Milling Technology at International School of Milling Technology (ISMT) scheduled to start on 17th August 2009.

Applicant should have a Degree/Diploma in Engineering/Tech or any Degree from a recognized University (Arts, Commerce, Science or equivalent) or City & Guilds Certificate in Flour Milling.

Selection of 20 participants will be based on the merit list of marks/grade of the qualifying Degree examination, experience in flour milling and sponsorship and also if required an aptitude test/interview conducted by CFTRI.

The course fee is Rs. 75000/- for Indian participant and U.S. $ 8,000/- for participant from abroad. The participant will have to bear the boarding & lodging expenses provided at the International Hostel situated inside the campus.

Request for application form and Prospectus should be accompanied by a Crossed Indian Postal Order or Demand Draft for Rs. 150/- for Indian participant and U.S. $ 25 in the form of International Money Order or Bank Draft for a foreign participant, drawn in favour of 'The Director, CFTRI, Mysore'.

The application complete in all respects should reach 'The Head, ISMT, CFTRI, Mysore-570 020, India', on or before 31st May 2009.

Candidates selected for the course will be intimated about their selection.The theory as well as practical subjects taught at ISMT is divided into four groups namely
Milling and Cognate subjects
Basic Subjects
Applied subjects and
Study Tour to various commercial Rollers Flour mills & allied industries.

Course also includes four weeks in plant training at ISMT Mill (20 tones/day capacity) & Automatic Mill practical classes. Different Guest lectures are also arranged on various other topics.
