ADMISSION NOTIFICATION


MASTER OF PHYSIOTHERAPY (MPT) COURSE - 2008

Applications are invited form the eligible candidates of Andhra Pradesh for admission to the Master of Physiotherapy (MPT) course for the academic year 2008.


SPECIALITY:
Musculosketetal Sciences (4 seats)
Duration: 2 years
University Area: AU-2; OU-1; NL-1
Statutory Reservation: BC-A-1, BC-D-1, SC-1, OC-1

Cardiovascular and Pulmonary Sciences (4 seats)
Duration: 2 years
University Area: AU-2; SVU-1; NL-1
Statutory Reservation: BC-B-1, BC-E-1, SC-1, OC-1

Neurosciences (4 seats)
Duration: 2 years
University Area: AU-2; SVU-1; NL-1
Statutory Reservation: BC-B-1, ST-1, OC-2

NOTE: One seat is reserved for in-service candidate of NIMS who satisfies the requisite qualification and qualify himself/herself in entrance examination.


PRIOR QUALIFICATION REQUIRED:
. Candidate holding a Bachelor degree in Physical Therapy from a recognized University in India or a Foreign University with at least 10 + 2 + 4 years of educational patters and a minimum of 6 months internship.
. However, since 4 years course and 6 months Internship was not existing before 1998, candidates who have qualified and completed the internship before 31 December 1998 shall be eligible for this course if they have at least 10 + 2 + 3 years of educational pattern and 6 months of internship. Deadline for completion of internship is 31-10-2008.
. Admission to candidates from other universities is subject to non-availability of qualified candidates form relevant universities.

AGE:
The minimum age for admission shall be 22 years completed as on 31.12.2008 and should not be more than 35 years as on 31-12-2008. Upper age limit is relaxable by 3 years in the case of SC and ST candidates. For in-service (NIMS) candidates the age limit is not applicable.


Candidates are requested to bring attested copies of all certificates, two black and white photographs and an amount of Rs.1100/- towards application fee. Preference will be given to the candidates belongs to Andhra Pradesh. Interested candidates shall attend for a written test on 27-11-2008. The candidates shall prepare to stay overnight, if necessary.

ADMISSION NOTIFICATION

Applications are invited from the eligibile Candidaes who have Passed MD, MS for admission into DNB Super Speciality courses in Cardiology, Clinical Pharmacology & Therapeutics, Gastroenterology, Nephrology, Neurology, Vascular Surgery & Rheumaltology. Preference will be given to the candidates who have qualified CET examination conducted by the National Board of Examination.

-The Guidelines/regulations issued by National Board of Examinations from time to time will be strictly followed for admissions and running of the course.

The filled in applications along with necessary documents and DD for Rs.1200/- drawn in favour of Director, NIMS before last date. Application received after due date will not be considered. The last date of receipt of filled in application 01.03.2008. The date of interview is on 05-03-2008 at 10 am onwards, and the date of joining the course is 07-03-2008.
