MBBS ADMISSIONS 209-2010 at NEIGRIHMS, Shillong

North Eastern Indira Gandhi Regional Institute of Health & Medical Sciences (NEIGRIHMS), Shillong-793018, has invited applications from students belonging to the North Eastern states including Sikkim, for the Entrance Examination for admission to 18 Open NE seats of MBBS Course of NEIGRIHMS, affiliated to North Eastern Hills University.
The UG (MBBS) Entrance Examination will be held at Shillong on 26th July, 2009.

Applicant should have passed the Senior School Certificate Examination/Higher Secondary/Indian School Certificate Examination, equivalent to 10+2 Examination after a period of 12 years of study and should have secured 50 % (40 % for SC/ST) or more marks in aggregate in Physics, Chemistry, Biology and English as the core/elective subjects, provided that the student has secured qualifying marks in each subject separately, should have completed minimum age of 17 years on or before 31st December, 2009 and should be a domicile of one of the North Eastern States of India (including Sikkim).

The Prospectus-cum-application form can be obtained personally from the Counter, Examination Cell, Dean's Office NEIGRIHMS, Mawdiangdiang, Shillong, up to 19.6.09, between 10 a.m and 4 p.m. on week days and between 10 a.m and 12 noon on Saturdays (except official holidays), against a Bank Draft of Rs. 600/- (General/OBC)/Rs. 500/- (SC/ST), drawn in favour of the Director, NEIGRIHMS, payable at Shillong.

The Prospectus-cum-application form can be obtained by Post from Dean, NEIGRIHMS, Mawdiangdiang, Shillong-793018 on or before 8th June, 2009, by sending a written request with address at which Application Form is required written clearly in capital letters, and an Account Payee Bank Draft for Rs.650/- (General/OBC)/Rs. 550/- (SC/ST), valid up to December 2009, drawn in favour of 'Director, NEIGRIHMS', payable at Shillong with words 'REQUEST FOR APPLICATION FORM FOR UG (MBBS) ENTRANCE EXAMINATION 2009' written on the envelope containing request for application.

Prospectus & application form can also be downloaded from www.neigrihms.nic.in up to 12th June, 2009. The downloaded forms will not have an application number and this will be given by NEIGRIHMS once the application form is received and processed. Downloaded form will not be received after 12th June, 2009. Completed forms should reach Dean's Office, NEIGIRIHMS, Mawdiangdiang, Shillong,Meghalaya-793018, latest by 4 p.m on 19th June, 2009.

Candidates from the states of Arunachal Pradesh, Meghalaya, Mizoram and Nagaland are eligible to appear for this entrance examination as well as the entrance test to be conducted by their respective states for the seats allocated to these states by NEIGRIHMS.
