POST GRADUATE DIPLOMA IN FORESTRY MANAGEMENT (PGDFM)

(Two Year Full Time Residential Programme Approved by AICTE and AIU)


IIFM is a top level sectoral management school imparting managerial competence in forests, enviornment, developmemnt and allied sectors. It is located on a hilltop with a sprawling green campus spread over 200 acres with state-of-the-art infrastructure. It has a record of 100% Campus Placement and for the batch of 2006-2008, the average salary was RS.7.2 lakhs.

ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA:
At least a three years Bachelor's Degree with minimum 50% aggregate (45% for SC/ST/PWD) or equivalent CGPA. Candidates appearing in final year of degree examination in 2009 can also apply provided they complete it before June 30, 2009.


RESERVATIONS:
As per the Govt of India rules, 15%, 7.5% and 3% of the seats are reserved for Scheduled Caste, Scheduled Tribe and Persons with Disability respectively. The 27% quota for OBC (non-creamy layer) will be implemented by IIFM in a phased manner.


FEES:
IIFM provides high quality education at reasonable cost and total fee for the entire program is Rs.3,00,000 for General/ OBC and Rs.1,80,000 for SC/ST candidates. IIFM is arecognised as a top class Institute by the Government of India under the Central Sector Scholarship Scheme for SC/ST candidates in which scholarships, taking care of all acadmeic expenses, are available to eligible SC/ST candidates.


ADMISSION PROCEDURE:
1. Apply and appear for CAT 2008 exams. IIFM will only use CAT score for short-listing the candidates. IIMs have no role either inthe selection process or in the conduct of the programme.
2. Apply to IIFM separately on the prescribed application form which is available through on eof the following:
Download application form and prospectus from the IIFM PGDFM admissions site at www.iifm.ac.in/admissions. Applicant, while submitting the downloaded form must enclose a demand draft of Rs.900/- (Rs.450/- for SC/ST) drawn in favour of 'Director, Indian Institute of Forest Management', payable at Bhopal.
Obtain the form personally or by post by sending a demand draft of Rs.900/- (Rs.450/- for SC/ST) drawn in favour of 'Director, Indian Institute of Forest Management', payable at Bhopal. Candidates should retain a photocopy of the bank draft as it would be required at the time of filling up the form.
Obtain the form by paying Rs.900/- (Rs.450/- for SC/ST) in cash from the following coaching institutes
* IMS Learning
* PT education
* Career Launcher
* Cerebral Heights.

Candidates procuring the form through the coaching institutions should enclose the photocopy of the cash receipt issued by the coaching centre when submitting the form.

. GD and interviews for short-listed candidates will be held at IIFM, Bhopal during February/March 2009.
