The Delhi Institute of Heritage Research and Management

The Delhi Institute of Heritage Research and Management, invites applications for the following two Post Graduate degree courses of two years duration (4 semester)



i) Master in Archaeology and Heritage Management (MAHM)
ii) Master in Conservation, Preservation and Heritage Management (MCPHM)



Admission to MAHM (Master in Archaeology and Heritage Management) and MCPHM (Master in Conservation, Preservation and Heritage Management) will be made on the basis of Entrance Test, followed by a Group Discussion


Eligibility Criteria
Graduate (3 years degree course) in any subject of Humanities or Sciences (those appearing in 3rd year final exam may also apply). The student must be graduate from an Indian or recognised foreign university or has passed an examination recognised as equivalent to a degree: and possesses such other qualifications as may be prescribed by the Academic Council of the Institute from time to time.

All the students who are keen to seek admission to Master in Archaeology and Heritage Management (MAHM) and Master in Conservation, Preservation and Heritage Management (MCPHM) course and meeting the eligibility criteria (see para 4.1) must appear in the Entrance Test and Group Discussion which will be conducted by Delhi Institute of Heritage Research and Management on specified date.

The venue of the Entrance Test and Group Discussion will be, Delhi Institute of Heritage Research and Management, 18-A, Satsang Vihar Marg, Qutub Institutional Area, New Delhi – 110067.

ADMISSIONS 2009-2010


Delhi Institute of Heritage Research & Management, 18-A, Satsang Vihar Marg, Qutub Institutional Area, New Delhi-110067, established by the Govt. of NCT of Delhi and affiliated to Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University, has invited applications for admission to the two years Master in Archaeology and Heritage Management (MAHM) and Master in Conservation, Preservation and Heritage Management (MCPHM) courses.
There are 30 seats for each course. Applicant should be Graduate (3 year Degree course) in any subject of Humanities or Sciences. Those appearing in final year examination can also apply.

Selection to the Programmes will be based on a Written Test, followed by Group Discussion to be held on 17th July, 2009.

The Written Test of 3 hours duration is divided into 2 Sections with Section A having Compulsory Aptitude Test relating to issues/matters/concerns dealing with heritage, both National and International, to be held from 10.30 a.m. to 12 noon.

Section B is the Specialized Aptitude Test to be held from 12:30 p.m. to 2:00 p.m, for judging student's knowledge/awareness in History /Culture /Archaeology /Conservation, Preservation, etc. Both, Section A and B will have objective multiple choice questions; short notes and a long essay. The written test will be followed by a Group Discussion from 3 p.m. onwards and the final selection will be made on the basis of the aggregate marks.

Result will be declared on 22.07.2009. Admission formalities will be completed on 30th and 31st July 2009 and classes will commence on 03.08.2009

Application from with Information Brochure can be obtained from the Accountant of the Institute on payment of Rs.150/- in cash or Rs.175/- in the form of a Demand Draft in favour of 'Delhi Institute of Heritage Research & Management', payable on any Nationalized Bank at Delhi to be sent by Post to Delhi Institute of Heritage Research & Management, 18-A, Satsang Vihar Marg, Qutub Institutional Area, New Delhi-110067. The form can also be downloaded from http://www.dihrm.com/ and submitted with a DD of Rs.400/-. The last date for sale and submission of completed applications is 10th July, 2009.

Reservation of seats in Admissions shall be as per the rules of GGS Indraprastha University as detailed in the Prospectus, for various categories and 3% for Persons with Disabilities.
Academic Fee per Semester is Rs. 5100/-. Total Fee payable at the time of admission is Rs. 16100/-
