Applications are invited for the following programmes of DDE:
1. Certificate course in Sanskrit: Duration: 6 months; Eligibility: 13 years with reading and writing ability in Sanskrit. (Open University System).

2. Diploma in Sanskrit: Duration: 1 Year; Eligibility: Certificate course in Sanskrit of Rashtriya Sanskrit Vidyapeetha, Tirupati/Samskritha Prathama Diksha of Rashtriya Sanskrit Sansthan, New Delhi/Prak-Sastri +2 or Equivalent Examination, age-16 years (OUS)

3. P.G. Diploma in Yoga Vijnana: Duration: 1 year; Eligibility: Any Degree.

4. Prak-Sastri: Duration: 2 years; Eligibility: SSC or Equivalent Examination.

5. Sastri: Duration: 3 years; Eligibility: Prak-Sastri/+2/Intermediate or Equivalent.

6. B.A. (Sanskrit): Duration: 3 years; Eligibility: Prak-Sastri/+2/Intermediate or Equivalent.

7. Acharya: Duration: 2 years; Eligibility: Sastri/B.A. (Sanskrit) or Equivalent examination (or) completed 21 years of age as on 01.08.2008 (OUS).

LAST DATE TO RECEIPT FILLED APPLICATION 15th July, 2008.

The application form & Prospectus can be obtained form the Director, D.D.E. Rashtriya Sanskrit Vidyapeetha, Tirupati-517064 (A.P.) in person on production of DD for Rs.100/- or thorugh post by sending a DD for Rs.150/- drawn in favour of Registrar, Rashtriya Sanskrit Vidyapeetha, Tirupati. Name and Address should be written on the backside of the DD.

The Prospectus Application Form can be downloaded form website rsvidyapeetha.ac.in and have to attach a demand draft of Rs.100/- in the favour of the Registrar, Rashtriya Sanskrit Vidyapeetha, Tirupati separately other than the course fees.

PRE - SIKSHA SASTRI TEST (PSST) 2008

for admission into Siksha Sastri (B.Ed.) Course 2008-2009 - (Recognised by NCTE)

Eligibility: Sastri/B.A. with Sanskrit are main subject / BOL (Sanskrit) Siromani/Vidwat Uttama/M.A. (Sanskrit) of any recognized University with 50% marks (45% for SC/ST/OBC) and should have completed 20 years as on 01.10.2008. Those who appeared for final year Examinations may also apply.

Date & Venue of the PSST Examination: 8.6.2008 at Tirupati Centre only.

No. of Seats: 100 only.

Last date for admission of Filled-in Applications: 26.4.2008.

PRE - SIKSHA ACHARYA TEST (PSAT) 2008

for admission into Siksha Acharya (M.Ed.) Course 2008-2009 - (Recognised by NCTE)

Eligibility: Siksha Sastri (B. Ed.) or equivalent and Acharya or equivalent of any recognized university with atleast 50% marks aggregate in both and should have completed 21 years. Those who appeared for Siksha Sastri Examination may also apply.

Date & Venue of the PSAT Examination: 15-6-2008 at Tirupati Centre only.

No. of Seats: 25

Last date for submission of Filled-in Applications: 17-5-2008.

Applications can be had from the Convener, PSAT-2008, Department of Education, R.S.Vidyapeetha, Tirupati-517 064 through Demand Draft only drawn in favour of the Registrar, R.S.Vidyapeetha, Tirupati for a sum of Rs.200/- (in person) or 250/- (by post) either in State Bank of India / Andhra Bank payable at Tirupati. Sale of Applications from 14-4-2008.
