Applicant should have passed the +2 examination with Mathematics & Physics as compulsory subjects with either Chemistry/Bio-Technology/Computer Science/Biology and recognized by any State Board/Central Board or any other accepted by SASTRA as equivalent to 10+2 examination, with a minimum aggregate of 60% marks in Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry/Bio-Technology/Computer Science/Biology obtained in a single sitting. Eligibility for vocational students is based on the theory subjects taken. Applicant should not be more than 19 years of age as on July 1, 2009.

For B. Tech. Programmes, 70% of the total seats are filled by SASTRA based on the marks in the qualifying examination, following the process of normalization. The remaining 30% of the seats are filled by MHRD based on the All India Engineering Entrance Examination. This notification relates to the admissions to the 70% seats to be filled by the University.

Application forms can be obtained in person from the Office of Admissions at SASTRA University campus in Thanjavur or Kumbakonam or from No. 9, Karnan Street, Rengarajapuram, Chennai 600 024, on payment of Rs.600/-.

Applications can be obtained by Post from Office of Admissions, SASTRA University, Thanjavur, Tamil Nadu-613 402, by sending a DD for Rs.650/- taken in favour of SASTRA, payable at Thanjavur. ELIGIBILITY for MBA/MSW:
Any three year UG degree from a recognized univeristy. B.Com (CA): A pass in +2

ELIGIBILITY for MCA:
Any recognized bachelors degree of minimum three years with mathematics as a subject of study in +2 or qualifying degree course. for II year lateral entry a minimum of 65% in major subjects of qualifying degree course is a must.

MODE OF ADMISSION:
Based on overall percentage in the qualifying UG/PG degree.
