SMVD University is a University within the meaning of Sec. 2(f) and 12(b) of UGC Act 1956. The University is sprawled over a campus area 474 acres in the picturesque surrounding adjoining the Trikuta foothills, in the environs of Katra and about 38 Kms from Jammu city.
The College of Management of SMVD University has created its niche in the field and the students have been excelling in their respective workplaces. The corporate NIIT, SBI, Trident, Coca Cola, Mahindra, ICICI, HDFC, Trident Group of Industries, Mahindra First Choice Wheels, India Infoline, Water Health, India, Nestle India, Hindustan Coca Cola Beverages, Bharti Airtel, Reliance Money, Tata Tele Services etc. have interaction and demand for our graduating students. The College runs two year courses MBA and MBA (BusinessEconomics) and would take admission in the above program through CAT 2012.
ELIGIBILITY
Graduation in any discipline, with at least 50% marks or equivalent CGPA [45% in case of the candidates belonging to Scheduled Caste (SC), Scheduled Tribe (ST) and Differently Abled (DA) categories]. Candidates appearing for the final year of bachelor’s degree/equivalent qualification examination and those who have completed degree requirements and are awaiting result can also apply.
HOW TO APPLY
The aspiring candidates have to take up the CAT 2012 examination notified by advertisement through IIM’s CAT 2012, the details for which can be obtained from website www.catiim.in. The candidates seeking admission in the MBA program in the College of Management, SMVDU, shall have to apply separately, in College of Management, SMVDU along with CAT. The Application form/prospectus for admission in College of Management, SMVD University can be downloaded from the website www.smvdu.net.in. The form complete in all respect along with DD of Rs 1100/-(One thousand and one hundred only) may be deposited at Public Relation Office, 15-C, IInd Extension, Opposite to Bahu Plaza, Gandhi Nagar, Jammu, J&K, 180 004. The demand draft should be drawn in favor of REGISTRAR, SHRI MATA VASHNO DEVI UNIVERSITY, payable at Jammu.

NOTE: The College of Management of SMVD University shall use the CAT Score 2012 only for short listing the candidates for admission to two year full time Master Degree Program in Business Administration (MBA) and Master Degree Program in Business Administration (Business Economics) for the Academic Session 2013-2014. IIMs have no role either in the selection process or in the conduct of the program. The decision related to the conducting of CAT and the CAT Centers will be taken by the IIMs and will be binding on the applicants.
