GPAT 2010 for M.Pharma Admissions on 2nd May, 2010
The scores in graduate aptitude test for engineers (GATE) have been in use till that year 2009 for admission in Master’s programme in Pharmacy (M.Pharma) and also for awarding fellowships/scholarships to Pharmacy graduate along with engineering graduates. The organizing committee for GATE has expressed its inability to include pharmacy graduates in GATE with effect from the year 2010, owing to operational problems due to large number of candidates appearing for GATE examination.

Therefore, in order to facilitate admission of Pharmacy graduates in M.Pharma as also to award fellowships/scholarships to Pharmacy graduates, AICTE has decided to organize to conduct an examination in the name of Graduate Pharmacy Aptitude Test (GPAT) with effect from academic year 2010-11. Accordingly, a National Monitoring Committee (NMC) was constituted for monitoring the issues pertaining to the policy as well as conduct of GPAT.
NMC, constituted by AICTE has recommended for conduct of 1st GPAT i.e. GPAT-2010 by the M.S. university of Baroda, Vadodara-390002, which has agreed to conduct the examination on May 02, 2010 throughout the country.
Candidates willing to appear in GPAT-2010 may obtain application form along with information brochure from either the office of coordinator GPAT-2010, the M.S. university of Baroda, Vadodara-390002 or from the designated branches of Bank of Baroda, whose information may be obtained from the website of GPAT-2010 at URL www.gpat.in, www.msubaroda.ac.in

GPAT Exam Structure
The GPAT-2010 examination will consist of a single paper of 3 hours duration containing 100 questions carrying a maximum of 100 marks. The question paper will consist of only multiple choice objective-type questions. Each question will have four choices for the answer. The candidates will have to mark the correct choice on an Optical Response Sheet (ORS) by darkening the appropriate bubble against each question. There will be negative marking for each wrong answer that is 1/3 (one-third) mark will be deducted.
GPAT Examination: Examination will be similar to that of GATE 2009 Examination, where the candidate will mark the correct answer out of four options in an Optical Response Sheet (ORS) by darkening the appropriate bubble.

a) GPAT 2010 result will be announced on 24th May 2010, 17: 00 hrs at GPAT office. The result will also be available

b) GPAT 2010 score is valid for ONE YEAR from the date of announcement of the result.
c) The machine-gradable Optical Response Sheets (ORS) are graded and scrutinized with extreme care. There is no provision for regrading or retotalling. No photocopies of the machine-gradable Optical Response Sheets (ORS) will be made available. No correspondence in this regard will be entertained.

NEST QUESTION PAPER PATTERN
Question paper pattern: The question paper will consist of five sections totaling 200 marks: (1) General, (2) Biology, (3) Chemistry, (4) Mathematics, (5) Physics. The first (General) section is compulsory for all students and will carry 60 marks. Of the remaining four sections (2 – 5) the students will have to select any two, each of which will carry 70 marks. The questions will be aimed at testing the subject comprehension and analytic ability of the candidates. The questions will be of objective type with four options given for each question. Some questions may have more than one correct answer. For some questions in sections 2 to 5, incorrect answers will be awarded negative marks. The question paper will contain explicit instructions in this regard.

Eligibility Criteria for appearing to MAH-MBA/MMS-CET 2010:
Candidate should have Passed with minimum of 50% marks in aggregate* ( 45% in case of candidates of backward class categories belonging to Maharashtra State only) in any Full Time Bachelor’s degree of minimum three years duration in any discipline recognised by the Association of Indian Universities.
OR
Appeared for the final year examination of any Full Time Bachelor’s degree of minimum three years
duration in any discipline recognised by the Association of Indian Universities.
Note:
1. For the academic year 2010-11, both the Maharashtra State and OMS candidates who have appeared / appearing for the CAT 2009 are considered eligible for admission against the All India Seats subject to the fulfillment of eligibility criteria mentioned in the Information Brochure. Such candidates are also required to procure the Information Brochure alongwith Application kit and submit & confirm the Online Application form.
2. For admission to MBA/MMS/PGDBM/PGDM course, the candidate is required to score minimum 30 marks in MAH-MBA/MMS-CET 2010. Candidates seeking admission on the basis of CAT 2009 are required to obtain minimum equivalent score.

HOW TO APPLY FOR MAHARASHTRA MBA MBA CET 2010 ?
Availability of Information Brochure alongwith Application Kit :
The Director of Technical Education, Maharashtra State, Mumbai continues the system of onlinereceipt of application form for MBA/MMS/PGDBM/PGDM for the year 2010-11.
• Information brochure alongwith the Application Kit for the aspiring candidates will be available at the identified post offices mentioned below during contact hours from 18/01/2010 to 02/02/2010 (excluding Public Holidays) against the payment of the application form processing fees.
• It is mandatory to procure the information brochure and go through it carefully. The CET that will be conducted in pursuance of this advertisement is subject to the rules and regulations set out in this information brochure. The further admission process, especially in respect of Private Unaided Institutes will be in terms of the clarification read with aforesaid rules and regulations.
• Submission of the application form in response to this advertisement will amount to accepting the afore said rules & regulations unequivocally by the applicant and upon such submission it will be presumed that the applicant agrees and accepts these rules & regulations as legal, valid and correct. It will not be open for any applicant, once having submitted the application form to question the legality, validity and correctness of these rules & regulations.
• The Centralized Admission Process will consist of first 3 rounds of allotment and the fourth (i.e. last) round of counseling. Candidates are instructed to carefully read the Annexure-I of the Information Brochure to understand the eligibility criteria for participating in each round.
• NRI candidates are eligible to apply for admission against Institute level seats in Private Unaided Management Institutes. Please refer information Brochure for details.
• Application form processing fees (including fees for GD & PI) as stated below is to be paid at the identified post offices, in cash only. No other mode of payment shall be permitted.

Submission and Confirmation of Online Application Form :
• Aspiring candidates will be able to submit and confirm the Online Application form through the web site www.dte.org.in/mba through any computer connected to Internet.
• For the submission and confirmation of the online Application Form the candidates are required to use the Application ID and Password provided in the Application Kit. Candidates are also required to upload his/her photo and signature as per the instructions given in the Application Kit. Candidates are advised to preserve the Application Kit carefully and not to disclose the Application ID & Password to others to avoid impersonation.
• In order to take the printout of the Online submitted Application form and the printout of the Hall Ticket for the CET, it is mandatory for all the candidates to confirm the Online submitted Application form and such applications only will be considered valid for further processing.
• Applications sent by Post/Courier etc. to ARCs/DTE office will be rejected and no
communication in this regard will be done with the candidates.
• It should be noted that no documents are required to be submitted at this stage. Candidates are
advised keep the necessary documents ready at the time of Document verification stage scheduled in the month of May 2010.

Law School Admission Test India (LSAT 2010 India)
The LSAT-India (Law School Admission Test - India) is a standardized test of reading and verbal reasoning skills designed by the USA based Law School Admission Council (LSAC) for use by law schools in India.
The LSAT—India will be administered across 16 Pearson VUE test centre locations in India and at select overseas Pearson VUE test centre locations on 16th May, 2010. The test will be administered in a paper and pencil format in India and in computer-based testing (CBT) mode at overseas locations.
LSAT INDIA Test Pattern
The LSAT—India is a paper-and-pencil test with four sections. Two of the sections contain logical reasoning questions; one section contains analytical reasoning questions; and one section contains reading comprehension questions. The amount of time allotted for each section is 35 minutes. There is one 15-minute break between section 2 and section 3. All questions are in a multiple-choice format, some with four answer choices and others with five. Answers are collected on a scannable answer sheet. The total duration of the test is 2 hours and 35 minutes including a break of 15 minutes.
The registration fee for the LSAT—India for candidates testing within India is Rs.3500. For candidates testing outside India, the registration fee is USD 150. The online registration window is from 25th January, 2010 to 19th April, 2010. On payment of an additional fee, candidates testing within India can register up to 30th April, 2010. Registration for the LSAT—India is online and can be done by submitting the form on the LSAT—India website. Payment for the registration by test takers in India can be done online (via credit card only) or through a demand draft. The demand draft should reach the below mentioned address on or before 19th April, 2010 either by post or courier.

LSAT—India Registration/Student Application Process
Register online for the LSAT—India entrance test by logging on to www.pearsonvueindia.com/lsatindia. The LSAT—India registration fee is Rs. 3500/-; the fee can be paid online or by a demand draft. Candidates will need to mention this LSAT—India registration number while submitting the application forms of the participating colleges.
After obtaining the LSAT—India registration number, the candidate must download/obtain the Application Form from the participating college; the college Admission Application Forms will require candidates to mention their LSAT—India registration number. Candidates must ensure that they write their LSAT—India registration number at the given place in the Application Form of the participating colleges.
All registrants who complete the test registration, pay the test fee in a timely way, and follow published test rules may sit for the LSAT—India - It is your responsibility to understand the eligibility requirements of the participating law schools to which you are applying before deciding whether to register for the LSAT—India. If you register for the test and then determine that you are ineligible for admission to your intended law school, no test- fee refund will be available.
Test Scores of all students writing the LSAT—India will be transmitted to the participating colleges.
