5. Incentive : A few freeships are available to postgraduates in Physics & Mathematics who wish to pursue these programs. Such freeships will provide for waiver of the course fee and in addition the freeship involves grant of scholarship of Rs.4,500/- per month. Preference will be given to BE graduates in IT branches for the same. However such candidates will have to execute an undertaking and equal amount of surety from a responsible person to the effect that after completion of the MS program they will serve R.V. College of Engineering for a minimum period of 5 years.

Secutities Markets Programme (SMP) 2008-2009(5th Batch)
--A One-Year full time Post-Graduate Programme.--

Financial markets across the world are getting integrated and complex due to technological advancements and marketising of most of the erstwhile closed economies. This process warranted the market professionals to be equipped with the knowledge of the various market processes, and the understanding of broader role of various segments of the markets. In this backdrop, in order to develop the professionals with adequate skill and knowledge in the securities markets, IICM offers a one-year postgraduate diploma in securities markets 'Securities Markets Programme' (SMP).
SMP: SMP is a specialised and intensive academic programme that helps potential students to acquire skill and knowledge of the securities markets. The thrust of the one-year full-time Securities Markets Programme (SMP) is to prepare a cadre of professionals primarily for careers in the securities markets. SMP inputs are designed to: -abstract the building blocks of the securities markets, understand them conceptually, and develop a capability to design the solutions that meets specific requirements -develop skill sets necessary to perform the key technical activities in the securities markets.

Eligibility Criteria: Candidates possessing Master's Degree OR Bachelors Degree of three years duration from a recognised Indian University. Holders of Bachelor's Degree should have relevant Post Qualification experience of at least Two-Years.

Admission Procedure:
It consists of a written test and a personal interview. The written test would attempt to assess the following attributes of a candidate:
Quantitative aptitude; Analytical and reasoning skills; and Language proficiency.
The duration of the test will be 120 minutes.
The written test will be conducted on 15th March 2008 (Saturday) at the following centers:
Ahmedabad, Bangalore , Bhubaneswar , Chennai, Goa, Hyderabad , Jaipur, Indore , Kolkata, Kochi , Lucknow , Mumbai, New Delhi and Patna .

Candidates, qualifying in the written test, would be called for a personal interview. They will be intimated through email and/or letters. Personal interviews will be held on April 7, 8, 10 & 11, 2008 at Chennai, Kolkata, Mumbai and New Delhi .

All expenses related to writing the test and attending personal interview shall be borne by the candidate. The Institute will not bear or reimburse any expenditure in this regard.

Merit list of selected candidates will be displayed on the Institute's website on April 22, 2008. Selected candidates are required to pay a commitment fees of Rs.10,000/- (non-refundable adjustable against tuition fees) on or before May 10, 2008. Further, the first list of selected candidates are required to complete all the formalities and pay their tuition fees on or before May 15, 2008. Commitment fees will be forfeited if the candidates are not taking admission before due date. Candidates who have not completed the formalities on or before May 15, 2008 their admissions stands cancelled.

The second list of candidates will be announced on the Institute's website on May 16, 2008 depending on the vacancies. They are required to pay their tuition fees and complete all the formalities before May 23, 2008.

Institute has a policy of reserving a few seats for industry sponsored candidates and overseas students.
1. Sponsored candidates: IICM has a policy for admitting sponsored candidates upto a maximum of five students. They are exempted from admission test / written test and they will have to appear for Personal interview/ group discussions.
2. Overseas students: IICM would be giving preference for the aspiring overseas/ foreign students upto a maximum of five seats subject to approval of the competent authority.

Note: In case of sponsored candidates and overseas students are not taking admissions these seats will be accordingly allotted to the overall seats.

Candidates selected for interview will be required to present the originals and submit the photocopies of the following documents at the time of interview:
1. Graduation/Post Graduation certificate issued by the University. 2. Statement of marks of Graduation / Post Graduation examination issued by the University. 3. Birth date certificate (i.e. S.S.C., School leaving certificate or birth certificate issued by the Municipal authority). 4. Experience certificate from the employer, if any.

Candidates can also obtain the application form alongwith SMP prospectus from the Office of the SMP Admissions, Indian Institute of Capital Markets. Application Form duly filled in all respects should be sent to the following address alongwith a demand draft of Rs.1000/- (Rupees one thousand only) drawn in favour of the Indian Institute of Capital Markets payable at Mumbai or it can be submitted in person at the Institute by paying cash of Rs.1000/-. This amount of Rs.1000/- is non-refundable.

Placement:
The IICM facilitates in arranging suitable placement opportunities for the students on completion of the programme. However, the Institute does not guarantee any placement. Students successfully completing this course may secure placement opportunities with mutual funds, investment bankers, brokerage firms, banks, credit rating agencies, stock and commodity exchanges, equity research firms, market regulators, and other market intermediaries and institutions. Students of previous batches have secured placement in mutual funds, investment bankers, brokerage firms, credit rating agencies, banks, stock and commodity exchanges and other market intermediaries and Institutes. To name a few Bank of Baroda, Indian Bank, UTI Mutual fund, UTI Bank Ltd, Asit C. Mehta Investment and Intermediaries Ltd., Parag Parikh Financial Advisory Services Ltd, IDBI Capital, UTI Securities Ltd., STCI, CCIL, National Commodity Derivatives Exchange Ltd. etc.

Accommodation and Residential Facilities:
The Institute has a hostel (UTI Niwas) at Sector 14, Vashi These rooms have been designed to serve the needs of students. There is a 24-hour Internet connectivity, too. Indoor games facilities are available at UTI Niwas. The Institute occasionally organizes workshops on yoga and stress management at the hostel. A limited hostel facility will be provided to the needy students.

Fee and Deposits:
The details of the fee payable to the Institute towards one- year SMP course is as follows:
The total fee is Rs. 1,80,000/- (Rupees One Lakh Eighty Thousand only) for the entire year. The fee is payable in two equal installments. The first installment of Rs.90,000/- shall become due for payment on or before commencement of the programme and the second and final installment of the remaining Rs.90,000/- shall become due for payment before the commencement of the second term. Late fee attracts interest (this is applicable only for second and final installment). Fee is non-refundable.

(One Year Post Graduate Diploma course in Integrated Geriatric Care)
Application in prescribed form from interested candidates is invited for admission in One Year Post Graduate Diploma course in Integrated Geriatric Care (Full-time) at New Delhi, under Project, National Initiative on Care for Elderly (NICE) of National Institute of Social Defence, an Autonomous Body under Ministry of Social Justice and Empowerment, Government of India. The course aims to develop a cadre of skilled personnel at Managerial and Supervisory level to meet the demand for providing skill based, field oriented, trained personnel in Age Care in NGO's Sector, Government/Corporate Sectors, Academic Institutions, etc. The course covers topics like Gerontology, Public Policy and Planning, Clinical Geriatrics, Geriatrics Management, Psychology and Counselling, Research Methodology.

Eligibility:
(a) Educational Qualifications:
Essential: Preference will be given to the candidates
1. Having a degree sociology, social work/social welfare, Anthropology, Psychology, Nursing, Home Science and related fields.
2. Holding certificate(s) of experience /training etc in the field of Old Age Care.

(b) Age Limit: Not less than 21 years as on October 1, 2007.
(c) Upper Age Limit: Should not exceed 45 years as on October 1, 2007.

Selection Criterion:
Selection will be made through a Common Aptitude Test (CAT) to be held at New Delhi, on March 2, 2008 followed by Group Discussion and Interview. Interested Candidates may send their application in a prescribed Form given in the Prospectus which can be had from Old Age Care Division, National Institute of Social Defence, Ministry of Social Justice and Empowerment, West Block – 1, Wing – 3, First Floor, R. K. Puram, New Delhi – 110066 (Tel. 26106883) from 10.00 AM to 1.00 PM on all working days by paying Rs. 50/- personally, or by sending Draft/Pay Order/Indian Postal Order for Rs. 80/-. The Draft/Pay Order should be in favour of The Director, National Institute of Social Defence, West Block – 1, Wing – 7, Ground Floor, R. K. Puram, New Delhi – 110066, payable at New Delhi. Desirous candidates may also download the application Form from NISD's website www.nisd.gov.in and apply along with DD/Banker's Cheque/IPO of Rs.50/-. However, the candidates requesting for dispatch of the Prospectus should attach a DD/Banker's Cheque/IPO of Rs.80/- instead of Rs.50/- along with the form downloaded from the Website.

Reservation of Seats
Fifteen percent of the seats are reserved for the scheduled caste, 7.5 percent seats for the scheduled tribe candidates, 27% for the OBC candidates and 3 percent for the following category of disabled who will be able to take up the job of Care Givers:
1. Persons with hearing impairment or low vision fitted with appropriate aids/assistive devices to enable them to function with normal hearing, vision, speech etc.
2. Persons with minor disability in one of the lower or upper limb that does not restrict their job of care giving if fitted with appropriate appliances or even without it.

Forms would be available from February 8, 2008 and last date for receipt of the duly filledin application is February 22, 2008. Forms incomplete in any respect or received after the last date or without DD/Pay Order will not be considered. The course is purely non-residential. Thus, the selected candidates will have to make their won arrangements for board & lodging.

ADMISSION NOTICE

Admission for the academic year 2008-2009 will be made in respective Kendriya Vidyalayas with effect form 15th February 2008 onwards. Interested parents may approach the nearest Kendriya Viddyala for application on payment of Rs.100/- (non-refundable).

Application forms will be issued for Class II and above subjects to availability of seats. For Class XI, separate notification will be made.

ELIGIBLE AGE FOR ADMISSION
For Class I admission, a child must be 5 years old on 31st March of the calendar year. For remaining classes, the eligible age will be calculated as on 30th September of the academic year.
