DEPARTMENT OF COMMERCE AND MANGEMENT STUDIES, UNIVERITY OF CALICUT, on of the oldest mangement institutes in South India, invites applications for its two-year (4 semester) MBA programme at the DEPARTMENT OF COMMERCE AND MANAGEMENT STUIDES (DCMS 40 seats, 04942400297), at four centers under the Department: School of Mangemtn Studies, Calicut (40 seats at Trident Complex, Near Malabar Chamber of Commerce, Calicut (04952768748), School of Management Studies, Palakkad (40 seats at Managemetn House, Marutha Road, 04912571863), School of Mangement Studies, Trichur (40 seats at John Mathai Centre Arunattukara, 04872388477) School of Management Studies, Vatakara (40 Seats, Lulu’s Complex, Karimpanapalam, 673101, 04962522299) for the academic year 2008-2009.
Applications are also invited for the Part-time MBA (Evening programme) 30 seats each at Calicut, Palakkad and Trichur. If enough candidates are not preferring any of the centers for the MBA evening programme, the programme may not be offered at that center.
ELIGIBILITY:
A bachelor degree in any subject of the University of Calicut or that of any other University recognized by the University of Calicut with a minimum of 50% marks in aggregate (including languages). (OBC (45%) and SC/ST students (pass only) are allowed relaxation as per rules). Candidates awaiting their degree results may also apply. But they should produce their original degree mark lists before the last date for the registration of their first semester MBA examinations. However, original Plus Two/PDC mark list should be produce for verification at the time of Personal Interview and Group Discussions.
SELECTION
Selection is based on Plus Two/PDC marks and the scores obtained by the candidates in the entrance test (to be held during May 2008 at Calicut, Trichur, Ernakulam, Trivandrum and Kannur), Group discussion and Personal Interview. The University may cancel any of these entrance test centers if enough candidates do not opt for that center for the test.
HOW TO APPLY
The application can be had form the Head, DCMS, University of Calicut, Malappuram 673635 or from the Schools of Management Studies mentioned above on paying a fee of Rs.500/- . For applications by post, please write to the Head of the Department along with a self addressed, Rs.15 stamped envelope (26 cm x 15cm) with a crossed demand draft for Rs.500 (Rs.167/- for SC/ST students if community certificate is submitted), drawn in favour of “The Finance Officer, University of Calicut” payable at State Bank of Travancore, Calicut University cash counter at the Pareeksha Bhavan.
The application form can be downloaded form the University website www.universityofcalicut.info. If the form is downloaded from the site, DD/ chalan for the fee stated above should accompany such filled up applications.

The National Institute of Pharmaceutical Education and Research (NIPER) at S.A.S Nagar (Mohali) has been created as Centre of Excellence in imparting higher education, research and development in pharmaceutical sciences and is the first Institute of its kind in country. 2.Candidates appearing for final qualifying examinations can also apply but they must produce final result on the day of Counselling/Interview/GD failing which their candidature shall be rejected.
3.Information Brochure cum Application form can be obtained in person or by post from the office of the Organizing Chairperson, NIPER-JEE 2008 on submission of non refundable Bank Draft of Rs. 1000/-(Rs.500/- for SC/ST) payable at S.A.S. Nagar (Mohali)/Chandigarh in favour of “NIPER-JEE 2008” along with two duly typed self-addressed Slips (10 cms X 6 cms). Indian nationals residing abroad and foreign nationals have to remit US$100 by bank draft payable to “NIPER-JEE 2008”. Payment by cheque/postal order will not be accepted. Candidates desirous of obtaining information brochure by post should clearly mention the name of the programme in the application and on the top of the envelope carrying the request letter.
4.The candidates will have to make their own arrangement for travel and boarding for attending test/GD/Interview/Counselling.
5.Filled in applications should be sent to Organising Chairperson, NIPER-JEE 2008, National Institute of Pharmaceutical Education and Research, (NIPER), Sector 67, S.A.S.Nagar (Mohali), Punjab, 160062, so as to reach him on or before 28th April 2008. 6. A common written test for all disciplines of the Masters programme will be held on Sunday, the 8th June, 2008 at Ahmedabad, Bangalore, Chandigarh, Delhi, Hyderabad, Kolkata, Mumbai, Nagpur, Patna and Pune. The centres may be altered if sufficient number of candidates do not register for a particular centre.

(i) Std. XII (or equivalent) pass with PCB (50 % aggregate marks, 40% marks for reserved categories) and English.
(ii) Candidates appearing at Std XII exam shall also be eligible.

Application Forms can be obtained (a) from the University office on payment of Rs.500/- in cash or D.D. OR (b) (if required by post) through a requisition letter along with a demand draft of Rs. 600/- drawn on any nationalized bank, in favour of "Registrar, Dr. D. Y. Patil University", payable at Pune. OR (c) by downloading from the University Website.
