Short Term computer programmes

Programmes in computer hardware maintenance and networking will begin from February 18, programmes in web designing from February 20, and those in MAYA programming from February 23

The continuing Education cell of PSG Polytechnic college will conduct short-term computer programmes from February 15.

According to a college release, the progrmmes on Adobe Photoshop/3D’s,Max/Flash will begin from February 16. Programmes in computer hardware maintenance and networking will begin from February 18, programmes in web designing from February 20, and those in MAYA programming from February 23. Certificates will be issued by the Diectorate of Technical Education, Gvernment of Tamil Nadu.

Cognizant to host tech-fest

Inter-collegiate tech fest in coimbatore on February 21

According to a release, the one day event will provide pre-final engineering and MCA students a forum to test and enhance skills in a competitive atmosphere.

Cognizant is organizing the event for the second year in a row, as part of its efforts to bridge the industry academia gap.

Students will get a chance to see the latest in the world of technology and business.

The event will seek to inculcate in them a spirit of innovation and entrepreneurship before they step in to the corporate world.

They will also get an opportunity to interact with industry preofessionals.

Teams from various engineering colleges will take part in contests such as tech-paper presentations, ultimate techie, general quiz and movie-making contest. Prize winners will walk away with prizes such as digicams and iPods.
