Department of Economics, Delhi School of Economics, Delhi University has invited applications for admission to the M.A/M.Phil/Ph.D (Economics) courses for 2009-10.The details of the Programmes including eligibility are given in the Information Brochure available at http://www.econdse.org/program-frame.htm.
Application forms will be available between 10 a.m and 4 p.m from Monday to Friday till 19th June, 2009, from the office of the Department of Economics, Delhi School of Economics (Room no. 30, First Floor) against a Demand Draft for Rs. 500/-(General/Other)/Rs.300/- (SC/ST) made from any Nationalised bank in favour of Registrar, University of Delhi, payable at Delhi
Candidates, who cannot purchase the application form in person, can download the form from http://www.econdse.org after clicking on 'PROGRAMS' link and following the instructions there. The hard copy of the downloaded application form accompanied by a DD for Rs.500/-(General/other category)/ and Rs.300/- (SC/ST) drawn as described, should be sent by post to the Department
Candidates seeking admission to the M.A/M. Phil/Ph.D in Economics at the University of Delhi must send their completed registration form to the Head, Department of Economics, Delhi School of Economics, University of Delhi - 110 007 to reach there latest by 19th June .
Selection to the Programmes will be based on an Entrance Test for to be held at 10 a.m on 27th June 2009 (Saturday) in the Delhi School of Economics. The Test will be of 3 hours' duration. Candidates have to report to the Delhi School of Economics at 9 a.m. Allocation of centres will be displayed at the Delhi School of Economics. Candidates will proceed to their respective centres and report there at 9.15 a.m. Candidates must fill out and detach the admission ticket from the registration form. The admission ticket is to be presented at the examination centre.
A short list of M. Phil/ Ph.D. candidates to be interviewed will be announced on July 6, 2009. The Interviews will be held on July 8, 2009 at 10 a.m.
