The Courses offered are MA in Comparative Literature at the School of Languages and Comparative Literature and MA in Economic Theory and Global Governance at the School of Global Studies.
Those with Graduation in any discipline with not less than 50% marks having a minimum of 50% marks in English are eligible. SC/ST candidates are eligible for a relaxation of 5% marks.

Fellowship for M.S. in Science Communication
National Council of Science Museums, an autonomous Scientific & Research organization under the Ministry of Culture, Govt. of India, engaged in popularization of Science & Technology among the people at large, is offering five Post Graduate Fellowships for a period of two years commencing January, 2010.
Selected fellows will undergo full time, four Semester, Master of Science (PG) Course in Science Communication being conducted by the Council, in collaboration with the Birla Institute of Technology & Science (BITS), Pilani on an off-campus mode. The lectures and tutorials would be held at National Council of Science Museums, Kolkata.
Applicant should be a 1st Class Bachelor’s Degree holder in Engineering or Technology in Mechanical/Electrical/Electronics/Information Technology/ Telecommucation/ Computer/ Metallurgy/Chemical/ Production Engineering or 1st Class M.Sc. Degree holder in Physics/Chemistry/Zoology/Botany/Biotechnology /Environmental Science.
Fellowship will be Rs.8.000/- per month for two years with a contingency grant of Rs.8.000/- per annum.

Pattern of Admission Test
The admission test is a multiple choice objective type written test (in English).
Duration of the test is two hours and will cover English Comprehension, General Knowledge & Awareness, Logical Reasoning and Quantitative Analysis.
Eligibility:
Recognized Bachelor’s degree of minimum 3 years’ duration in any discipline.
Candidates appearing for a qualifying examination can also apply subject to submission of proof of requisite qualification by October 7, 2010.

The applications are invited hereby for the award of fellowships under the DAE Graduate Fellowship Scheme for Ph.D (DGFS-Ph.D.) for pursuing research in an Engineering discipline leading to the award of Ph.D degree of HBNI. The terms and conditions of the Fellowships are
. The DGFS-Ph.D Fellowship is tenable for three years for doing Ph.D in an Engineering discipline in one of the four R&D centres listed above;
. The amount of Fellowship payable under the scheme is Rs. 18000/- (likely to be increased) per month besides house rent and medical benefits as per rules,
. The Fellow will carry research under the joint supervision of two guides, one having strength in basic research and the other in technology development,
. After the award of the Ph.D., the DGFS-Ph.D fellows will have the option to appear for selection under K.S. Krishnan Research Associateship (KSKRA) programme without going through further process of screening. KSKRAs are selected every year and paid a stipend of Rs. 20,000/- (likely to be revised) + benefits for a maximum period of 2 years. Anytime during the 2nd year of associateship, subject to satisfactory performance, the KSKRAs will be absorbed in one of the R&D centres of DAE as above and appointed in the grade Scientific Officer (D/E).
Eligibility: a. Qualifying Degree and other academic qualifications – Candidates should possess M.E./M.Tech degree in Mechanical, Chemical, Metallurgical, Electrical, Electronics, Instrumentation or Computer Engineering disciplines with minimum 60% marks in B.E./B.Tech and 60% marks in M.E./M.Tech as declared by the University or employed by it for declaring class or equivalent CGPI (converted to % marks by multiplying with 100/x if the CGPA is on x points scale).
b. Age limit – The candidates desirous of availing DGFS-Ph.D. Fellowship should have been born on or after September 1, 1981. Age limit is relaxable by three years for OBC and by five years for SC/ST applicants.
c. Nationality – Applicants should be an Indian citizen.
Selection Process: Applicants who fulfill the above mentioned eligibility criteria, and whose M.Tech. projects are of relevance to DAE shall be called for an interview to be conducted in the BARC, Mumbai in September 2009. The candidates should be prepared for a 10 minutes presentation on their research interest. Outstation applicants called for interview will be paid, after their interview, to and fro sleeper class train fare by shortest route, or actual fare, whichever is less.
