PhD programme under the streams (1) Full time and (2) Part-time

Applications are invited from eligible candidates for the entrance test for admission to the PhD programme under the streams
(1) Full time and
(2) Part-time under the faculties of Science, Language & Literature, Humanities and Commerce & Management Studies of University.

Eligibility:-
(1) Candidates who have secured 55% marks and above in their P.G. degree
examination (of this University or equivalent degree of any other Indian or Foreign Universities recognized by University of Calicut) shall be eligible to apply for the entrance examination for registration to PhD in the subject concerned

(2) Candidates belonging to the SC/ST Communities need only a pass in their
qualifying examinations.

(3) The teachers of the affiliated Colleges of this University and University Teaching Departments will be given a relaxation of 5% marks.

Candidates exempted from Entrance Examination
(1) Regular teachers working in the Government/Aided Colleges affiliated to
Universities in Kerala seeking Part-time registration.

(2) Candidates who possess M.Phil degree of this University or any other University recognized as equivalent to this University.

(3) Candidates who have qualified NET/JRF/SRF of UGC/CSIR.Candidates seeking Part-time registration should confirm their eligibility for it from the University Web-site. The number of seats available in each Department/Centre under different faculties can also be ascertained from the website. Registration shall be granted from the ranklist prepared on the basis of the marks scored in the entrance test and the number of seats available under each supervising teacher in the Department/Research Centre.

Actual distribution of seats to different categories, such as Full-time & Part-time will be based on the decision of the Research Council of the University. Those who secure 50% marks and above in the entrance examination are eligible for admission. Candidates belonging to SC/ST communities, however, need only 35%.
The prescribed application form for entrance examination/Ph.D Programme downloaded from the web-site along with chalan receipt for Rs.500/- (Rs.125/- for SC/ST) towards fee should reach the Head of the concerned Department/ Research Centre on or before 30.11.2009.

M.Tech in Electronics and Communication Technology

Program Overview

All programs of IDS-NIREM are conceived, planned, run and certified by IDS-NIREM as its autonomous programs, which have various components including class room-teaching and project & field activities.

These programs have been conceived and planned on the basis of actual demand in the market, which was assessed in consultation with real estate developers, real estate institutional investors, housing finance institutions, property consultants & advisors, real estate venture funds, planners, real estate experts, urban managers etc. Certificates are awarded after the participants/students achieve minimum marks and/or credits and fulfill all other examination criteria, as decided by the institute to check the course knowledge of students. IDS-NIREM has not approached any statutory authority for affiliation. These Degrees also do not come under the purview of AICTE, UGC or other such organisations.

Admission Deadline

In order to ensure that your application receives the fullest consideration, your application forms, all required documents and application fee must reach us on or before the priority deadline as mentioned on the admission application form.

Eligibility for Admission

Indian Students:
The minimum requirement for admission in the post-graduate diploma programs at the IDS-National Institute of Real Estate Management is given below:

A bachelor's degree from a recognized college or university. Candidates appearing in final examination are also eligible to apply.

Preference will be given to the following:

Candidates who studied Mathematics upto 12th standard or 'A' levels.

Applicants with professional work experience.

Few seats are reserved for candidates sponsored by their employers.

International Students:
The minimum requirements for consideration for admission to post-graduate diploma program at the IDS-National Institute of Real Estate Management for foreign students are as follows:

A bachelor's degree from a recognized college or university.

TOEFL paper-based score of 513 or Internet-based score of 65 (minimum) or IELTS score of 5 (minimum). TOEFL/IELTS requirement may be waived of if English was the medium of instruction in undergraduate studies. However, in this case, the applicant must be fluent in both written and spoken English.

GMAT score is not mandatory but shall be preferred.

International students must have valid study visa and all legal documents to study in India


Indian Students:
· Completely filled application form.
· A one-page resume, describing major strength, weakness, achievements and key skills.
· A personal statement on, "why do you want to pursue a career in real estate", in about 750 words.
· A letter of recommendation from supervisor in case of work experience
· Duly attested copy of mark sheet and certificate of class 10th and graduation.
· Application fee in the form of demand draft of rupees five hundred only (Rs. 500/-) drawn in favour of 'Industry Development Society for Real Estate' payable at NOIDA.

International Applicants:

Mudra Institute of Communications (MICA), has invited application for admission to the Post Graduate Programme in Communications Management (PGPCM) leading to Post Graduate Diploma in Management (Communications) - (PGDM-C) for 2010 - 2012

Applicant should have a Bachelor's Degree (10 + 2 + 3 (4) system) with minimum 50% marks or an equivalent qualification, in any discipline recognized by the Association of Indian Universities. Those appearing for the final examination of a Bachelor's Degree (or equivalent) are also eligible to apply.

Students with demonstrable aptitude for expressing, assessing or conceiving ideas that move people to action and achieve business results, will stand better chances of being shortlisted.

The selection process for the PGDM (C) involves three stages.

Stage-1 is the requirement of CAT/GMAT. Applicant should have CAT 2009 score or GMAT score of 31.12.2007 or later. Indian students can also apply with GMAT scores. GMAT score of 600+ will be considered in lieu of CAT. However short-listing, will depend on the number of applications. (The CAT cut-off percentile for 2009-2011 was 90 percentile and above overall, with sectional cut off of 50 percentile and above in DI & QT and 60 percentile and above for Verbal Comprehension)

Stage-II is MICA Admissions Test (MICAT) for candidates short-listed from CAT/GMAT, to be held in February/March at Ahmedabad, Bangalore, Delhi, Kolkata, and Mumbai, designed to assess analytical and divergent thinking, written communication skills and familiarity with the Indian ethos.
