All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS), Ansari Nagar, New Delhi - 110 608 announces for Entrance Examination for AIIMS -M.B.B.S. Course commencing on 1st August, 2010.
Entrance Examination will be held on 01.06.2010 (Tuesday). Application forms, complete in all respects, must reach AIIMS, New Delhi latest by 5.00 P.M. on 25.03.2010.
Eligibility Criteria:
(i) Candidates who have passed 12th class examination under 10+2 system or an equivalent examination with Physics, Chemistry, Biology and English securing a minimum of 60% marks (50% in case of Scheduled Caste/Scheduled Tribe candidates) aggregate in Physics, Chemistry, Biology and English or whose results of Class-XII are likely to be declared by 7th July, 2010 are eligible to apply.
(ii) The candidate should have attained the age of 17 (seventeen) years as on 31st December, 2010.
How to Apply?
The Prospectus-cum-Application Form costing Rs. 1000/- (Rs.800/- in case of SC/ST candidates) inclusive of examination fee can be obtained in the following manner:

B) Off-line : The Prospectus-cum-Application Form can also be obtained by Speed Post/Registered Post by sending a written request with an account payee Bank Demand Draft of Rs.1050/- (Rs.850/- for SC/ST candidates) in favour of ACCOUNTS OFFICER (EXAMS), AIIMS payable at New Delhi.
The Bank Draft should be valid up to July/August 2010. The name of the course applied for must be written on reverse of the Demand Draft alongwith candidate's name. The request must reach the Assistant Controller of Examinations, All India Institute of Medical Sciences, Ansari Nagar, New Delhi - 110 608 on or before 15.03.2010.
Money Order/Cheque/Postal Order/Cash or any other form of payment will NOT be accepted for postal sale. The words "REQUEST FOR APPLICATION FORM FOR MBBS ENTRANCE EXAMINATION 2010" should be written on the envelope containing request for application form, and also on top of the request letter. The address at which Application Form is required should be written clearly in CAPITAL LETTERS with PIN code. AIIMS will not be responsible for delay in/non-receipt of Application Form caused by illegible or incomplete address.

In an effort to cope with enormous expansion, while continuing to maintain its high academic standards, the University of Delhi in the early seventies, initiated a new organization pattern based on the concept of a multi-campus institution. Following this policy, the University started the South Campus in 1973 as an experiment in multi-campus system with a focus on interdisciplinary programmes in Social Sciences, Humanities and Applied Sciences. The University of Delhi South Campus has decided to conduct a joint admission test for two of its flagship programmes, namely Master of Finance and Control (MFC) and Master of Business Economics (MBE). The admission test, followed by Group Discussion and Personal Interview of shortlisted candidates, will form the basis of admission to these courses. The candidates shall have the option to apply for either or for both the programmes by paying the appropriate fee as indicated later in this prospectus.

Department of Financial Studies (University of Delhi)
Eligibility:
Graduate (under 10 + 2 + 3) / Post-graduate in any discipline with 50% marks, from the University of Delhi or any other University recognised as equivalent there to. Students appearing in the final year of Bachelor's Degree examination in 2010 are eligible to appear in the Joint Admission Test. However, they should meet the above-mentioned eligibility requirements latest by September 15, 2010.
Note: The selected candidates must submit their final year results by September 15, 2010, failing which their admission will be automatically cancelled.
Candidates must ensure that they satisfy the above eligibility conditions before applying. If, at any stage of the admission process, a candidate is found ineligible, his/her application will be cancelled immediately – no queries/clarifications shall be entertained in this regard.
Reservation: The Department will follow University norms regarding reservation of seats for SC/ST, OBC, Physically Challenged candidates and Children/Widows of Officers and Men of the Armed Forces including Para- Military Personnel killed or disabled in action at wars. Foreign students studying in Indian Universities are required to appear in the Admission Test. In addition to the number of seats specified for these programmes, supernumerary seats are available for foreign students. All foreign students need to apply through the Dean, Foreign Students c/o Faculty of Management Studies, University of Delhi, and Delhi-110007 - (For further details visit www.du.ac.in). In the case of foreign students who are not required to appear for the Test, preference will be given to those who furnish their latest GMAT and TOEFL scores. All foreign students are required to meet the requirements as specified by Dean, Foreign students.
Selection Procedure: The short listing of the candidates for admission to the MFC and MBE programmes will be done on the basis of their performance in the Entrance Test which seeks to test the aptitude of the candidates for studies in business analysis and management. The Entrance Test will consist of multiple choice questions relating to English Comprehension and Verbal Ability, Analytical Reasoning, Data Interpretation and Data Sufficiency, Quantitative Ability (covering Basic Arithmetic, Algebra, Calculus, Basic Statistics and Data Analysis) and Current Business Environment. The result of the entrance test is expected by April 2, 2010. The short listed candidates will be called for group discussion and personal interview. Candidates called for group discussion and interview shall bear travel and other incidental expenses themselves. In all cases, the decision of the Admission Committee shall be final.
Age: The candidate should have attained the age of 20 years on the 1st of October in the year in which admission is sought.
Fee payable: At present the MFC students are required to pay an annual fee of Rs. 11,500/- at the time of admission. Students selected to the MBE programme are required to pay an annual fee of Rs.11, 361/- The foreign students would have to pay an annual fee as per university rules. The fee may be revised from time to time by the University.
Test Centers:
The admission Test will be held on Sunday, March 21, 2010 between 11.00 a.m. to 1.00 p.m at Delhi, Bangalore, Bhopal, Bhubaneshwar, Chandigarh, Chennai, Hyderabad, Jaipur, Kolkata, Luck now and Mumbai. The University can change/cancel any test centre.

For PGPM 2010-2011, Great Lakes Institute of Management will accept CAT scores of the years 2008 and 2009 only. Similarly, GMAT scores older than 2007 will not be accepted.

Indian Statistical Institute (ISI Kolkata) Admission Notice 2010-11
Indian Statistical Institute invites applications for the following programmes from the candidates having qualifications as shown against each programme. Stipend/Fellowship as mentioned against each programme will be available to the deserving candidates.
1. 5-year B.Stat. (Hons.): Successful completion of 10+2 years of Higher Secondary Education or equivalent with Mathematics and English. Stipend Rs. 800/- per month. (Offered at Kolkata).
2. 5-year B.Math. (Hons.): Successful completion of 10+2 years of Higher Secondary Education or equivalent with Mathematics and English. Stipend Rs. 800/- per month. (Offered at Bangalore).
Candidates for the above two programmes, who have successfully cleared the Indian National Mathematical Olympiad test, conducted by the National Board for Higher Mathematics, Department of Atomic Energy, Govt, of India, need not sit for the written test; such candidates would be directly called for interview. However, such candidates are required to apply in the prescribed application form.
3. 2-year M.Stat.: 3-year Bachelor's degree with Statistics as full subject, or a B. Stat./B. Math, degree from the Indian Statistical Institute or a Statistician's Diploma/ Senior Diploma in Statistics from the Indian Statistical Institute, Stipend Rs. 1200/- per month (Offered at Kolkata).
4. 2-year M.Math.: 3-year Bachelor's degree or a B.E./B.Tech. degree, with Mathematics and an exceptionally strong background in Analysis and Abstract Algebra or a B.Stat./B.Math. degree from the Indian Statistical Institute. Stipend Rs. 1200/- per .month. (Offered at Kolkata).
5. 2-year Master of Science (M.S.) in Quantitative Economics: 3-yeat Bachelor's degree in Economics / Mathematics / Statistics/ Physics or a B.Stat, degree from the Indian Statistical Institute. Engineering graduates are also eligible. Candidates should have knowledge of Economics and Mathematics at the B.A/ B.Sc, pass level. Stipend Rs.. 1200/- per month. (Offered at Kolkata & Delhi).
6. 2-year Master of Science (M.S.) in Library and Information Science: 3-year Bachelor's degree in any discipline. The candidates must have secured at least 60% marks in the Bachelors degree. Stipend Rs. 1200/- per month. (Offered at Bangalore).
7. 2-year M.Tech. in Computer Science: (i) Masters degree in Mathematics/Statistics/ Physics/ Electronic Sciences/ Computer Science/Computer Applications/Information Technology or, (ii) Bachelor's degree in Engineering/Technology or any other qualification considered equivalent (such as AMIE or. GRAD-IETE or DOEACC 'B' Level). Stipend Rs. 5000/- per month. (Offered at Kolkata).
A candidate with a valid GATE score above a threshold (to be decided by the Selection Committee) in his/her own subject would be directly called for interview. However, such candidates are required to apply in the prescribed application form.
8. 2-year M.Tech. in Quality, Reliability and Operations Research (i)Master's degree in Statistics or Master's degree in. Mathematics with Probability and Statistics as major subjects or Bachelor's degree in Engineering/Technology or equivalent or PG diploma in SQC & OR from the Indian Statistical Institute and (ii) Knowledge of Mathematics at graduate level and knowledge of Physics and Chemistry at Higher Secondary level. Stipend Rs. 5000/- per month. (Offered at Kolkata).
A candidate who was asked to discontinue any of the above programmes is not eligible for readmission to the same programme.
9. Junior Research Fellowship:
(a) Statistics : (i) A good academic record with M.Stat., M.A./M.Sc. or equivalent degree in Statistics or, (ii) outstanding mathematical maturity with B.Stat./ B.Math., B.A./B.Sc. or equivalent degree with Statistics as the main subject.
(b) Mathematics: (1) A good academic record with M.Stat., M.Math, M.A./M,Sc. or equivalent degree in Mathematics or, (ii) outstanding mathematical maturity with B.Stat/ B..Math., B .A ./B .Sc. or equivalent degree with Mathematics as the main subject

Selection of candidates is based on academic record, written tests and interviews conducted by the Institute. Due consideration is given to SC/ST/OBC/Physically Challenged candidates for all programmes from 1 to 8 above (i.e., excluding Junior Research Fellowship programme).

Graduate Pharmacy Aptitude Test-2010 (GPAT-2010)
ADMISSION NOTICE
GPAT 2010 for M.Pharma Admissions on 2nd May, 2010
The scores in graduate aptitude test for engineers (GATE) have been in use till that year 2009 for admission in Master’s programme in Pharmacy (M.Pharma) and also for awarding fellowships/scholarships to Pharmacy graduate along with engineering graduates. The organizing committee for GATE has expressed its inability to include pharmacy graduates in GATE with effect from the year 2010, owing to operational problems due to large number of candidates appearing for GATE examination.

Therefore, in order to facilitate admission of Pharmacy graduates in M.Pharma as also to award fellowships/scholarships to Pharmacy graduates, AICTE has decided to organize to conduct an examination in the name of Graduate Pharmacy Aptitude Test (GPAT) with effect from academic year 2010-11. Accordingly, a National Monitoring Committee (NMC) was constituted for monitoring the issues pertaining to the policy as well as conduct of GPAT.
NMC, constituted by AICTE has recommended for conduct of 1st GPAT i.e. GPAT-2010 by the M.S. university of Baroda, Vadodara-390002, which has agreed to conduct the examination on May 02, 2010 throughout the country.
Candidates willing to appear in GPAT-2010 may obtain application form along with information brochure from either the office of coordinator GPAT-2010, the M.S. university of Baroda, Vadodara-390002 or from the designated branches of Bank of Baroda, whose information may be obtained from the website of GPAT-2010 at URL www.gpat.in, www.msubaroda.ac.in
ELIGIBILITY FOR GPAT 2010
Persons holding Bachelor’s degree in Pharmacy (4 years after 10+2) or appearing in the Final year examination of B. Pharmacy (4 years after 10+2) in the year 2010 only are eligible for appearing for GPAT-2010 examination.

HOW TO APPLY

Demand Draft for Application :
The candidates who wish to obtain the Application Form and Information Brochure by post or personally from GPAT office counter should obtain a demand draft (in favor of “GPAT”) for Rs 1000/- (Rs. 500/- for SC/ST/PD) payable at Bank of Baroda, Vadodara.
Step 2 : Filling in the Application Form

GPAT Exam Structure
The GPAT-2010 examination will consist of a single paper of 3 hours duration containing 100 questions carrying a maximum of 100 marks. The question paper will consist of only multiple choice objective-type questions. Each question will have four choices for the answer. The candidates will have to mark the correct choice on an Optical Response Sheet (ORS) by darkening the appropriate bubble against each question. There will be negative marking for each wrong answer that is 1/3 (one-third) mark will be deducted.
GPAT Examination: Examination will be similar to that of GATE 2009 Examination, where the candidate will mark the correct answer out of four options in an Optical Response Sheet (ORS) by darkening the appropriate bubble.

GPAT Result
a) GPAT 2010 result will be announced on 24th May 2010, 17: 00 hrs at GPAT office. The result will also be available
on the website, as listed in Section 1.6.
b) GPAT 2010 score is valid for ONE YEAR from the date of announcement of the result.
c) The machine-gradable Optical Response Sheets (ORS) are graded and scrutinized with extreme care. There is no provision for regrading or retotalling. No photocopies of the machine-gradable Optical Response Sheets (ORS) will be made available. No correspondence in this regard will be entertained.
