The branch will be allotted based on the rank, preference and availability of seats at the time of interview.

b) MCA for academic year 2010-13: Candidates with a pass in recognized regular Bachelor's Degree course of minimum 3 years duration in any discipline with Mathematics at 10+2 level OR a pass in any recognized regular Bachelors Degree course of minimum 3 years duration in any discipline with mathematics as one of the subjects, with not less than 55% marks excluding languages, are eligible to apply. (Those who are awaiting final year result can also apply). It is mandatory for the candidates to appear in the Entrance examination for MCA conducted by Commissioner of Entrance Examination (CEE), Govt. of Kerala.

Selection is purely based on merit and 50% of the seats are allotted from the Entrance examination for MCA conducted by Commissioner of Entrance Examination (CEE), Govt. of Kerala.

The Indian Law Institute (ILI) was founded in 1956 primarily with the objective of promoting and conducting legal research. The objectives of the Institute as laid down in its Memorandum of Association are to cultivate the science of law, to promote advanced studies and research in law so as to meet the social, economic and other needs of the Indian people, to promote systematization of law, to encourage and conduct investigations in legal and allied fields, to improve legal education, to impart instructions in law, and to publish studies, books, periodicals, etc.The Institute is an autonomous body registered under the Societies Registration Act, 1860, the Indian Law Institute has the requisite independence and academic freedom to carry out its objectives. The membership of the Institute is now nearly three thousand representing the persons interested in the study and advancement of law.
Eligibility : LL.B. Degree (with not less than 50% marks) recognized by Bar Council of India as eligible for enrolment as an advocate in India or A Law Degree from a foreign country with at least 50% marks in aggregate or equivalent grade.The candidates appearing in the qualifying examinations are also eligible to apply but their admission will be subject to production of proof of having acquired minimum prescribed qualification, at the time of admission. If the result of the qualifying examination is not declared till the date of admission, his/her admission shall be provisional. Such candidate shall give an undertaking that he/she is taking the provisional admission at his/her risk and that he/she shall submit the result of qualifying examination on or before 30.09.2010. Duration, Continuation and Termination of the LL.M. Course:The duration of the course is 2 years comprising of 4 semesters. However the students have an option to complete the course within one and a half years under special circumstances with the prior approval of the Academic Programme Committee. In such a case, the student has to produce publishable research papers & dissertation before he/she could be granted the leave to finish the entire course in 1½ years. Students would be graded out of the maximum 1500 marks as per teaching scheme. The following guidelines have been prescribed by the Institute for the students to exercise the option of completing the LL.M. Course within one and a half years:– (i) ‘Special Circumstances’ means a student who has an exceptional academic record, securing at least 65% marks in the aggregate in the first two semesters, with over 60% marks in each paper, and having passed all the papers in the first attempt. In addition the student must have secured 80% attendance in each of the first two semesters, (ii) A student whose research papers have been published or accepted for publication in a reputed journal/ publication, and (iii) A student who has secured over 70% marks in at least two out of three research papers submitted in the first two semesters. A student opting for early completion of the LL.M. Course must also submit a synopsis, which in the opinion of the Academic Programmes Committee is very good. Students who fulfil all the above criteria may be permitted to submit their dissertation early, but not later than December 31st of the third semester of the year on the recommendation of the Academic Programme Committee.Regular classes will be held in ILI from Monday to Friday from 9.30 a.m. onwards.

SSCBS – BBS/BFIA/BBE ADMISSION 2010 – DELHI

The Faculty of Applied Social Sciences and Humanities was established to oversee the development of courses attuned to the requirements of the industry and its associated institutions. The requirements of a professional today span different branches of knowledge and therefore the courses offered are all interdisciplinary in nature.Eligibility:# The candidate should have passed or have appeared in March/April 2010 in Senior Secondary School Examination of CBSE or any other examination considered equivalent by the University of Delhi.The candidate should secure an aggregate of at least 60% marks in his/her XII class examination (55% for SC, ST, CW and PH categories) in best of four papers including English and Mathematics. Selection Procedure: I. Written Joint Entrance Test : Applicants shall be called for an objective type multiple choice test, which shall be held at Delhi, Chandigarh, Kolkata and Lucknow. The written examination is designed to test the aptitude of the candidates to pursue the BBS/BFIA/B.A. (Hons.) Business Economics courses. There is no prescribed syllabus or format for the entrance examination. The following areas have been usually included in the entrance examination in the past.* Quantitative Ability (Based on Mathematics upto class XII or its equivalent)* Reasoning and Analytical Ability* General English* Business and General Awareness
The candidate will be required to attempt 120 questions in 120 minutes. Each correct answer will get a score of plus 3 marks, each wrong answer will get a score of minus 1 mark and question not answered will get a score of 0 marks. Marking of multiple answers for one question shall be treated as wrong answer.
The test shall be of two hour duration, extra time will be given to the candidate for filling up details on test booklet and answer sheet, marking attendance, verification of candidates’ documents, distribution, and collection of test material etc. The scheme of examination may be changed on the recommendation of the admission committee.
II. Group discussion and Interview for BBS/BFIA programs: Based on the performance in the written test candidates approximately four to six times the number of seats for the relevant categories for each program i.e. BBS and BFIA shall be called for group discussion and interview.
