Eligibility: The students seeking admission must have qualified one of the combined entrance tests i.e. All India Engineering Entrance Examination (AIEEE) or Rajasthan Pre Engineering Test for Engineering, Architecture and Pharmacy (RPETEAP-in the year of admission).
Direct Admission to II year
Ten percent of the sanctioned intake in each discipline of I year B.E is reserved for admission in II year B.E for Diploma holders and BSc with minimum 60%. The students seeking admission in II year should have secured at least 60% marks in aggregate in respective branch from recognized institutes. The Centralized Admission Coordination Committee will fill up these seats through counseling, after inviting applications from the eligible candidates.
Fee Structure:
As fixed by the Govt. of Rajasthan, the fee structure for engineering students is as follows:

Caution Money (Refundable) Rs 2,000/- only

Eligibility:
The eligible shortlisted candidates with a valid GATE score or a valid CEED score(Category A) will be called for the personal interview and those without a GATE score or CEED score (Category B & C) need to appear for test and interview.
A. Candidates having valid GATE score:
i. Bachelor's degree in Engineering / Technology / Architecture from educational Institutions approved by AICTE / Government orii. Candidates yet to appear or have appeared in the final examination for the qualifying degree specified in [i] and whose results are likely to be declared by July 2011,or iii. Associate Membership holders of the professional bodies for admission into their parent disciplines from the following:
• The Institution of Engineers (India) (AMIE)
• The Institution of Electronics & Tele-communication Engineering (AMIETE)
B. Eligibility for IIT / IIIT BTech Candidates:
Candidates graduating / graduated from IITs / IIITs with BTech degree and having CGPA of 7.5 and above for SC / ST and 8.0 and above for others can apply without GATE Score or CEED score.
C. Eligibility for Sponsored Candidates:
Candidates working and sponsored (with full pay and allowances for 24 months) by industry / government organizations / private and public enterprises recognized by DST engaged in R & D work/ engineering colleges recognized by AICTE, possessing at least two years of professional experience as on the last date of receipt of applications at IIITD&M can apply, provided they hold:
i. BE / BTech degree from AICTE recognized Engineering Colleges/university with first class or 60% aggregate marks in all the four years (no need of having GATE Score) ; orii. AMIE and other Associate memberships (listed above) with a valid GATE Score or CEED score
2. PhD Programmes:
Specializations and Eligible Degrees:
1. Computer Engineering:
Master's degree in Engineering / Technology. Preference will be given to those with MTech / ME / MS degree in Computer Science & Engineering. (MCA / MSc / MPhil are not eligible)
2. Electronics Engineering:
Master's degree in Electrical Engineering (Electrical and Electronics Engineering) / Electronics Engineering (Electronics and Communication Engineering) / Instrumentation Engineering or Master's degree in Physics followed by a Master's degree in Engineering in an area of relevance to the area of research.
3. Mathematics:
Master's Degree in Mathematics / Statistics / Physics / Computer Science with GATE / UGC / CSIR / NBHM or MTech (Industrial Mathematics & Scientific Computing) or any MTech degree with Master's degree in Mathematics / Physics / Statistics / Computer Science.
4. Mechanical Engineering:
Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Automobile Engineering, Automotive Engine Tech, Energy Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Instrumentation, Maintenance Management, Metallurgical Engineering, Production / Manufacturing Engineering / Mechatronics / CAD / CAM / CIM and in related areas depending on the research topics.

Documents to be enclosed along with the Application Form:
a. The completed Application form should accompany a DD for Rs. 150 (Rs.75 for SC / ST / PD / Female Candidates).DD should be in favour of ‘IIITD &M Kancheepuram’, Payable at Chennai.
b. Copy of the valid GATE score OR Copy of the valid CEED score OR bothc. Copy of School Leaving Certificate (SSLC) towards proof of date of birth.d. Copies of all the Mark sheets / grade cards, degree certificates beginning from 10th Standard towards proof of qualification. [Original certificates should not be enclosed].
e. Copy of the Community Certificate in the case of SC / ST / OBC candidates issued by the respective State Government. The OBC candidates have to submit an attested copy of the valid non-creamy layer certificate in the prescribed form issued by competent authority.
f. Sponsorship Certificate from the employer in the prescribed format attached as Annexure III with the application form in the case of sponsored candidates.
g. Copy of proof of Experience certificate if any
