About College: The Institute of Public Enterprise (IPE) was established in 1964 for the study of issues and policies relating to public enterprises (PEs). Mr. S S Khera, ICS, the then Cabinet Secretary, Government of India, had conceived the idea of a research institution that would undertake a systematic and sustained study of issues relevant to the formulation of policies towards public enterprises.

Advanced Management Programme AMP, Admissions 2011-2012


The Indian Institute of Management (IIM), Calcutta has invited applications for enrolling for Advanced Management Programme commencing on September 12, 2011. The Programme is designed for top/senior level executives and decision makers of both public and private sector enterprises who assume or likely to assume corporate/board level responsibilities.

This Programme will help senior executives to:
1. Acquire a wider perspective of the multidimensional context for doing business;
2. Create a strategic vision that would enable them to develop structured responses to an unpredictable and dynamic technological and business environment;
3. Analyze emerging opportunities, available resources and the effectiveness of organizational structures, systems and processes;
4. Formulate and implement corporate policies to gain competitive advantage.

AMP 2011 will be in two modules. Nominations can be sent either for both the Modules or for only the first Module (Module-I).
Module-I: Two week On-Campus Programme.
Venue: Management Development Centre, Tata Hall, IIM Calcutta, Joka, Kolkata.
Duration: September 12 – 23, 2011.

Module-II: Foreign Study Tour at Germany, Switzerland, France and Italy
Duration: November 13– 27, 2011.

Programme Fee per participant
Module-I: Rs. 1,80,000/- + 10.3% service tax, total Rs. 1,98,540/-
Modules-I & II: Rs. 4,10,000/- + 10.3% service tax, total Rs. 4,52,230/-

B. E. / B. Tech. / B. Arch, (Other States), Admissions

Applications have been invited for admission to first year B. E. / B. Tech. / B. Arch. Degree Courses for the year 2011 – 12 from the eligible Other State candidates for the seats reserved in the University Departments of Anna University, Chennai.

ELIGIBILITY: B. E. / B. Tech
Minimum Qualification:- A pass in the HSC (Academic) or its equivalent with a minimum average percentage in the relevant subjects
OR
Any other equivalent qualification with relevant subjects approved by the Higher Secondary Board of Tamil Nadu.

Minimum average marks in Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry put together (%)
1. General Category 50.00
2. SC/ST 35.00
For Mining Engineering Branch Only Male candidates are eligible.

ELIGIBILITY: B. Arch.
Minimum Qualification:-(i) (a) HSC (Academic)/Equivalent.
Candidates who have passed 10+2 or its equivalent examination with Mathematics as one of the subjects.
(1) General category candidates should have secured not less than 50% marks in aggregate.
(2) SC/ ST candidates should have secured not less than 45% marks in aggregate.
(b) Diploma Candidates who have passed 10+3 Diploma (any stream) recognised by Central / State Governments.
(1) General category candidates should have secured not less than 50% marks in aggregate in all the semesters put together.
(2) SC/ST candidates should have secured not less than 45% marks in aggregate in all the semesters put together.
(c) International Baccalaureate Diploma
Candidates who have passed International Baccalaureate Diploma after 10 years of schooling, with Mathematics as compulsory subject.
(1) General category candidates should have secured not less than 50% marks in aggregate in all the semesters put together.
(2) SC/ST candidates should have secured not less than 45% marks in aggregate in all the semesters put together.
