The Institute of Bio Resources and Sustainable Development (IBSD), Imphal, Manipal has invited applications for admission to PhD JRF with specialisations in Plant Bio Resources and Microbial Bio Resources.
Eligibility and other details:
Candidates shall be eligible for registration in an ongoing programme of research in IBSD leading to the degree of Doctor of Philosophy (PhD), if he / she has obtained 55% marks in aggregate (B or B+ only in the 10 point scale) in the Master Degree Examination.
A candidate belonging to SC / ST who has obtained 50% marks in aggregate in Master Degree examination shall be eligible for registration.
Admission to the Ph.D programme shall be done in the month of December 2011.
The programme will start on 1st week of January 2011.
Candidates who have qualified CSIR-UGC NET / DBT-JRF / ICMR-JRF / ICAR-JRF examination are eligible for direct interview.

1. Application should be typed on A4-size plain paper in the prescribed format. Applications sent by e-mail with scan copy of required enclosures will also be accepted and such application should be sent to the following email address: director.ibsd@nic.in
2. Each page of the typed application form should be SIGNED by the candidate. Application without signature of the candidate will be rejected.
3. No application Fee will be charged by IBSD
4. Applications should be accompanied by attested copies of certificates and mark sheets mentioning the division obtained.
5. TWO recent passport size photographs should be enclosed. One of these should be signed by the candidate and pasted on the application form.
6. A self-addressed stamped (Rs. 10/-) envelop of 10cm x 22cm should be enclosed.
7. Hard copy of the duly filled applications should be sent to The Director, Institute of Bio Resources and Sustainable Development, Takyelpat, Imphal-795001 so as to reach on or before 30th November, 2011
