III. Application and fee:
1. Application shall be submitted through online only. However, a copy of the printed version shall also be submitted by post along with the educational documents including health certificate ( HIV test certificate) and DD on or before 21-7-2014. to the Registrar, UAS, GKVK, Bangalore-65.

IV. Degree Programme fee:
1. NRI / Children of NRI / candidate sponsored by NRI shall pay US $ 6000.00 per year ( Six Thousand US dollars only ) as Institutional Economic fee along with regular semester fee prescribed by the University from time to time.

2. Candidate shall pay group Health Insurance premium every year as prescribed from time to time.

V. Undertaking:

1. The sponsored Candidate is required to give an undertaking to the effect that, he or she would pay the fee regularly to the University. In the event of Non-payment of fee, the student shall be terminated from the studies.

2. In addition the sponsorer shall also give an undertaking that, he / she has sponsored the candidate and will pay fee regularly till the candidate completes the course.

3. Undertaking given by the sponsorer and the Candidate on stamp paper signed by Notary should accompany the application.

VI. DOCUMENTS TO BE PRODUCED BY THE CANDIATE AT THE TIME OF JOINING THE DEGREE PROGRAMME:

a) All Original transcrips about the Examinations passed. ( SSLC / PUC  ( 10+2) (Intermediate) / Date of Birth certificate / T.C. / Proof of NRI  status & others).

b) HIV test certificate from Govt Hospitals.

c) Medical Fitness Certificate from Govt. Hospitals.

d) An Undertaking to be given by the sponsorer that the sponsorer will  pay fee in dollars / rupees regularly till the Candidate completes the  degree programme and in the event of non-payment of fee, his / her  admission may be cancelled.

 e) An undertaking to be given by the Candidate to the effect that, he /  she would pay the fee regularly to the University and in the event of  non-payment of fee his / her admission may be cancelled.

VII. Fee to be paid by the Candidate at the time of joining the degree  programme:

 a) Rs.16,510-00 as Admission fee, By Bank Draft / DD should be drawn  in favour of COMPTROLLER, UAS GKVK, BANGALORE Payable at  Bangalore.

b) Rs.1,800-00 towards Group Health Insurance to be paid in Cash by  each Candidate each year.
 c) An Institutional Economic fee of US $ 6000.00 per annum to be paid in the form of DD drawn in favour of Comptroller, UAS, GKVK, Bangalore, Payable at Bangalore.

d) The sponsorer / NRI should pay the Semester fees and US $ 6000.00 each year regularly or till the Candidate completes the course.

IX. Hostel Facility : Hostel facilities will be provided subject to the availability in the UAS Campus. X. GENERAL INSTRUCTIONS:
1. On receipt of selection letter, the Candidate needs to confirm his / her willingness to join the programme in writing for which he / she has been provisionally selected for admission. No change of subject is entertained subsequently. 
 2. The University will not own the responsibility of Candidate’s involvement in any unlawful activities during the period of his / her study and candidate himself / herself is solely responsible to appear for any enquiry by the police.

 3. The confirmation of the admission is subject to the verification and confirmation of all original transcripts / certificates, of prescribed fees and fulfillment of all other admission requirements by the concerned authority.

ADMISSION TO M.TECH. PROGRAMMES 2014-15

Application process for M.Tech. Admission at NSIT for session 2014-15 will be online. Candidates willing to apply for admission in various M.Tech. Courses at NSIT can visit NSIT Admission website http://www.nsit.nic.in. Online application process will start from May 26, 2014 . Detailed admission schedule (tentative) is also available on this website along with other related details about courses, eligibility criteria, number of seats, fee details etc.
There are three types of M.Tech. courses at NSIT.
1. Information System under the Division of Computer Engineering
2. Signal Processing under the Division of Electronics and Communication Engineering
3. Process Control under the Division of Instrumentation & Control Engineering

IMPORTANT: One application form is required for each division. If candidate is willing to apply for Full Time (FT) as well as Sponsored Full Time (SFT) or Part Time (PT) in a division, he/she is required to make multiple registrations and fill separate applications for each type of course in a division. For each registration made by candidate, separate registration fee of Rs. 1,000/- is required to be deposited by the candidate.

ADMISSION TO Ph.D. PROGRAMMES 2014-15


Application process for Ph.D Admission at NSIT for session 2014-15 will be online. Candidates willing to apply for admission in various Ph.D. Courses at NSIT can visit NSIT Admission website http://www.nsit.nic.in. Online application process will start from May 26, 2014. Detailed admission schedule (tentative) is also available on this website along with other related details about courses, eligibility criteria, number of seats, fee details etc.

IMPORTANT: One application form is required for each division. (If an applicant wishes to make multiple registrations; he/she has to fill separate applications for each division. For each registration made by candidate, separate registration fee of Rs. 1,000/- is required to be deposited.

ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA  
Master’s degree in Engineering/Technology in the relevant discipline (ECE, COE, ICE, MPAE, IT) Securing 70% or more marks in aggregate and Masters Degree in Science or Equivalent in relevant area of Applied Sciences & Bio-Technology in accordance with Ordinance VI-B, University of Delhi (displayed on Institute website) securing 70% or more marks in aggregate.

The candidates possessing Master degree with 60% or more marks who are eligible for Ph.D. degree as per ordinance VI B of University of Delhi may also apply for admission for Ph.D. degree but they will be admitted without scholarship and they will be required to comply with the other formalities of ordinance VI B (displayed on Institute website) will be selected through a written test followed by Power Point Presentation and Interview.


PROCEDURE FOR ADMISSION  
A written test will be organized on department level (Irrespective of with/without fellowship) which will have multiple choice questions of one hour duration. The selection of the short listed candidates after written test shall be made by the selection committee of the respective department. The final selection will be made on the basis of the performance of the candidate in written test, power point presentation (7 to 10 minutes on any area of his/her interest preferably research area) and Interview. Interviews will be held in July – Aug. 2014.

Candidates selected for admission to the Ph.D. Programme will have to subsequently apply to the University of Delhi for Ph.D registration as per University Rules and will have to complete the course work as per the ordinance VI B of University of Delhi.

 Candidate appearing in the qualifying exams must ensure that their final results (with requisite marks) are declared before the date of Interview (probably in July-Aug 2014) otherwise they will not be allowed to appear before the selection board.

Selected candidates shall be required to deposit institute fee and other charges immediately at the time of registration for which he/she will be intimated before the date of registration well-before-the time. The amount payable by him/her will be in DD/cash as per rule. Limited hostel accommodation is available which will be provided to students subject to availability.

No TA/DA will be admissible to the applicants called for written Test/Interview.
