The University Grants Commission invites applications for the award of Junior Research Fellowship in Engineering & Technology for the year 2007-08 from the persons who have a Master's Degree in Engineering/Technology/Pharmacy with at least 55 % marks from a recognized University .22.5 % Research Fellowships are reserved for SC/ST candidates, The objective of this award is to provide an opportunity to research scholars to undertake advanced study and research in Engineering and Technology and Agricultural Engineering leading to Ph.D. Subjects like Geology, Geo-Physics and Mathematics are not considered under this scheme. The candidate should not be more than 40 years of age as on 1s' July of the year of award relaxable by five years for women and SC/ST candidates. The total duration of the fellowship is five years.


JUNIOR RESEARCH FELLOWSHIP(JRF)IN ENGINEERING & TECHNOLOGY FOR THE YEAR 2007-2008.
Fellowship @Rs.14,000/-p.m. for initial two years; @Rs.15,000/-p.m, for remaining tenure (JRF/SRF)
Contingency ©Rs.12,000/-p.a. for initial two years; @Rs.25,000/-p.a. for remaining tenure
Depart mental Assistance @Rs. 3,000/- p.a. per student to the host institution for providing infrastructure
Escorts/Reader assistance @ Rs 2,000/- p.m. in cases of physically handicapped & blind candidates

The applications in the prescribed format given in UGC's Website, it may be sent to the JOINT SECRETARY, (SELECTION & AWARDS BUREAU) , UNIVERSITY GRANTS COMMISSION, DELHI UNIVERSITY, SOUTH CAMPUS, BENITO JUAREZ MARG, NEW DELHI-110 021 duly forwarded through the University/Institution where the fellow desires to undertake research work within one month from the date of issue of advertisement.
The selection will be made on the basis of merit and on the recommendations of the Selection Committee, constituted by the Commission. The decision of the Commission shall be final.
