The R.L. Institute of Management Studies (RLIMS) is a Division of Subbalakshmi Lakshmipathy College of Science, run by Subbalaskhmi Lakshmipathy Foundation (SLF). The college has been assessed by National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC) and reaccreditated B++ Status. We are one of the very few self-financing institutions, reaccreditated by NAAC. The Institute is situated on the Madurai-Aruppukottai Road, within 6 Kms distance from Madurai Airport and 16 Kms from Madurai Railway Station. Madurai is a place of historical importance, 440 Kms Road / 495 Kms - Rail 480 Kms south of Chennai in Tamilnadu, a place which housed the Tamil Sangam in 16 th Century and is the abode of the famous Goddess Shree Meenakshi.

It is an institute with high-end infrastructure and development facilities besides recreational facilities. The environment is free from any pollution and the atmosphere is very conducive for learning.

MBA ADMISSION: 2008-2010

Eligibility Criteria: Graduate in any discipline (10+2+3) approved by UGC. Final year students are also eligible subject to the passing their graduation by first week of June and submission of certificate for the same. Candidate with previous industrial experience with 1 – 2 years will be given preference.

Eligibility Standard: RLIMS is looking for Best Talented Students for MBA programme and hence, Our Selection process is very rigorous consisting of 4 phases:
Phase I : Selection is based on one of the common admission tests as below
1. Management Aptitude Test (MAT) conducted by All India Management Association (AIMA).
2. XAT 2008
3. ATMA

Phase II : Call letters will be sent to individual students based on the score obtained in MAT/XAT/ATMA
Phase III : Group Discussion & Situation Analysis (Written test)
Phase IV : Personal Interview by a panel

Students appearing for Management Aptitude Test (MAT/XAT/ATMA) have to indicate RLIMS as a preferred management institution for pursuing MBA programme. Application form can be obtained by paying Rs.300/-(Rupees Two Hundred and fifty only) either by cash or by Demand Draft drawn in favour of "R.L. Institute of Management Studies" payable at Madurai, from the Institute or its City office. Application can also be downloaded and filled in application to be forwarded to Director (Admission, Training & Placement) , along with Demand Draft for Rs.300 Favouring "R.L. Institute of Management Studies" payable at Madurai.

Admission procedure : Selected candidates will have to remit Rs.20,000/- within a week by demand draft in favour of “R.L.INSTITUTE OF MANAGEMENT STUDIES” payable at Madurai to reserve the seats and the balance amount to be remitted within 30 days from the date of receipt of Provisional admission letter.

Application form can be obtained from The Director (ATP), R.L. Institute of Management Studies, TVR Nagar, Aruppukottai Road, Madurai - 625 022 on payment of Rs.300/- by a Demand Draft in favour of "R.L.INSTITUTE OF MANAGEMENT STUDIES" payable at Madurai.

Out Station Candidates please add Rs.50/- to cover the postal expenses

Application forms will also be available from the following Branches of City Union Bank Ltd and Indian Bank at a cost of Rs.300/-.

Loan Facility : Students who get admission for MBA Programme in R L Institute of Management Studies, Madurai will also be eligible to obtain Educational loan from Indian Bank subject to the students fulfilling all eligibility criteria as per the scheme and guidelines issued by Indian Bank. Guide lines for availing " Educational Loan" from banks Number of parents are interested in availing loan from the bank towards the cost of education of their wards. They are advised to contact their own bankers or any nationalized bank.
