Film and Television Institute of India, Pune, an autonomous Institute under the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, Government of India, invites applications for admission to the following courses:-

COURSES IN FILM AND TELEVISION

1. Direction (Three Year P.G. Diploma)
Qualification: Bachelor's Degree (12 seats)

2. Cinematography (Three Year P.G. Diploma)
Qualification: Bachelor's Degree (12 seats)

3. Audiography (Three Year P.G. Diploma)
Qualification: Bachelor's Degree With Physics as a subject at Sr. Sec. (10+2) level (12 seats)

4. Editing (Three Year P.G. Diploma)
Qualification: Bachelor's Degree (12 seats)

5. Acting (Two Year P.G. Diploma)
Qualification: Bachelor's Degree (20 seats)

6. Art Direction and Production Design (Two Year P. G. Diploma)
Qualification: Bachelor’s Degree in ar Architecture/Painting/Applied Art/Sculpture/Interior Design or related fields in Fine Arts or equivalent Diploma (12 seats)

7. Animation and Computer Graphics (One and a half Year Certificate Course)
Qualification: Sr. Sec. (10 + 2). Preference will be given to candidates having completed Diploma from fine arts colleges. (12 seats)

8. Feature Film Screenplay Writing (One year P.G. Certificate Course)
Qualification: Bachelor's Degree (12 seats)

COURSES IN TELEVISION
1. Direction (One Year P.G. Certificate Course)
Qualification: Bachelor's Degree (8 seats)

2. Electronic Cinematography (One Year P.G. Certificate Course)
Qualification: Bachelor's Degree (8 seats)

3. Video Editing (1. One Year P.G.; 2. Certificate Course)
Qualification: Bachelor's Degree (8 seats)

4. Audiography and TV Engineering (One Year P.G. Certificate Course)
Qualification: Bachelor's Degree With Physics as a subject at Sr. Sec. (10+2) (8 seats)

*Two seats in each course are reserved for foreign students/Non-resident Indians.
*Seats are also reserved for SC/ST candidates as per Govt. policy of reservations.
*Seats are also reserved for persons with disabilities as per Govt. policy.


ADMISSION TEST: The Entrance Examination for all the courses except the Certificate Course in Animation and Computer Graphics will be held on 25/5/2008 (Sunday), at the following centers: Ahmedabad, Allahabad, Amritsar, Bhopal, Bhubaneshwar, Chennai, Guwahati, Hyderabd, Kolkata, Mumbai, New Delhi, Patna, Pune and Thiruvananthapuram. The Entrance Examination for Certificate Course in Animation and Computer Graphics will be held at FTII, Pune, on 22.06.2008 followed by interviews on 24.06.2008.

HOW TO APPLY:
Prospectus containing application form and other details may be obtained on request along with Demand Draft of Rs.910/- drawn on any Nationalized Bank in favour of "Accounts Officer, Film & Television Institute of India", payable at Pune. Requests for prospectus will be entertained only after 20th March, 2008. Prospectus can also be obtained personally form the information and facilitation counter, Film and Television Institute of India after 20th March, 2008 at a cost of Rs.800/-. Admission form is also available on their website. Download this form and send it to the Controller of examinations with an application fee of Rs.1610/- (Rs.1260 for SC/ST Candidates). You may also apply online and submit the application as instructed on the website.
