NTTF - an educational Foundation established in the year 1963 is the living symbol of Indo-Swiss co-operation aimed at promoting a purposeful technical education for the youth in India. In its mission, the Foundation was actively supported with generous assistance from the Swiss Government, HEKS and Swiss Development Corporation, a developmental agency of Switzerland. The Government of India and the State Governments have also extended their support. The Foundation implements its programme of technical training through its 19 Training Centres located at Tellicherry, Cochin,Trivandrum,Alleppey, Quilandy(Kerala), Bangalore, Dharwad, Tumkur,Shimoga (Karnataka), Vellore, Chennai, Coimbatore, Tuticorin (Tamil Nadu), Gannavaram (Andhra Pradesh),RD Tata Technical Education Centre Jamshedpur (Jharkand) & J.N.TATA Technical Education Center, Gopalpur (Orissa).

NTTF is an educational consultant for quality improvement initiatives under World Bank Aided project like TEQIP (Technical Education Quality Improvement Programme) for Govt. of India and for many State Governments like Sikkim,J & K and Hariyana.

Duration: 3 Years + 1 Year Industrial Training

Diploma in Electronics (DiEL)
Duration: 3 Years
Course offered at: Bangalore,Jamshedpur ,Tumkur, Trivandrum, & Gopalpur(Orissa).

Eligibility:
Pass in SSLC/+2/PUC/ 12th std / Vocational course with minimum 50% in Mathematics and aggregate minimum of 50%in Mathematics & General Science, or Physics & Chemistry or Vocational subjects Together (with practical wherever applicable). Age max 19 as on 31.07.2008. min height 155cm & weight 40kg (height and weight not applicable for CP04 and CP08 courses)

Diploma in Computer Engineering (DiCE)
Duration: 3 Years

Diploma in Technical Skills (DiTS)
Duration: 3 Years
Course Offered at: Gannavaram (ONLY FOR RESIDENTS OF ANDRA PRADESH)

Eligibility:
Pass in SSLC/+2/PUC/ 12th Std / Vocational course with minimum of 45% in Mathematics and aggregate minimum of 45% in Mathematics& General Science or Physics & Chemistry or Vocational subjects together (with practical wherever applicable). Age max. age 19 years as on 31.07.2008. min height 155cm & weight 40kg

Diploma in Information Technology (DiIT)
Duration: 3 Years
Course Offered at: Bangalore , Chennai & Shimoga.

Eligibility:
Pass in +2/ PUC/12th Std / Vocational course with minimum of 50% in Mathematics,or Computer Science or Commerce or Accountancy or Business Studies or Statistics or Vocational subjects age max 21 years as on 31.07.2008

CERTIFICATE PROGRAMMES
Certificate in Tool & Die Making (CiTD)
Duration: 2 Years + Min. of 6 months Industrial Training
Course Offered at: Tellicherry, Dharward, Vellore.

Eligibility:
A Pass in SSLC/ +2/ PUC/12th Std / Vocational course. Age max 21 years as on 31.07.2008 Pass in SSLC/+2/PUC/ 12th Std / Vocational course with minimum 45% in Mathematics and aggregate minimum of 45% in Mathematics & General science or Physics & chemistry or Vocational subjects together (with practical wherever applicable).Age max 19 years as on 31.07.2008. Minimum Height 155cm & weight 40kg.

VOCATIONAL PROGRAMMES
Certificate Programme in ITES CP-ITES
Duration: 6 months + 6 months on the job training with a stipend of Rs.2500/- per month.
Course Offered at: Bangalore

Eligibility:
A Pass in +2/ PUC/12th Std / Vocational course Age minimum 19 and maximum 25 years as on 31.07.2008

Certificate in Computer Applications (CPCA)
Duration: 1 Year
Course Offered at: Alleppey ,Dharwad and Quilandy.

Eligibility:
Pass in SSLC/ +2/ PUC/12th Std / Vocational course. Age max 21 years as on 31.07.2008

Vocational Programmes will have multiple intakes during the year

• All candidates awaiting results and confident of meeting the eligibility requirements can also apply before announcement of results and final admission will be subjected to securing the qualifying marks mentioned above for various courses.
• All efforts are being made by NTTF to expand centres and introduce new courses
• Diploma/Certificate will be awarded to successful candidates by NTTF.

Entrance Exam :
SELECTION : A computer enabled common Entrance exam of objective type will be conducted. The candidates are expected to have necessary familiarisation of computers. Candidates unfamiliar with computers wil be supported by NTTF by giving special coaching at NTTF centres . Please contact the Principal of the nearest NTTF center along with the hallticket in case you need familiarisation of computer. Selection of students for admission to various courses is based on the performance in the entrance examination.

Reservation:
-100% seats at Jamshedpur are reserved for the wards of Tata Steel employees.
-100% of the seats at Gopalpur are reserved for residents of Orissa.
-CP03 is reserved for candidates from Andhra Pradesh only.
-Preferance given to female candidates upto a minimum 10% of seats.
-Preference is given to rural candidates up to a maximum of 30% the seats.
(Such candidates must comply with the conditions listed in item number 13 and 16 of the Application form).
-State wise allocation of seats exists for candidates coming under merit quota of CP01 and CP02.

Bond:
All students admitted to the above courses will have to execute a bond for completion of the course and premature withdrawal will call for penalty and forfeiture of fees paid.

Hostel:
Hostel facilities are provided at all Training Centers for trainees. Girls’ hostel is available at Tellicherry, Dharwad, Bangalore, Trivandrum, Chennai, Tumkur, Jamshedpur and Gopalpur. Unless otherwise permitted, by the respective unit head,trainees must stay in the hostel.

On admission to hostel the following payments are to be made.
Hostel caution deposit : Rs.5,000/- (Rs.4000/- refundable)
Mess caution deposit : Rs.2,500/- refundable.
Mess bill approximately : Rs.1,500/- to Rs.1,800/- p.m. (depending upon location of the training centre.)
Establishment fee : Rs.4,000/ to Rs.6,000/ per semester depending on location. Rs.1,000/-per semester for day scholar

Education Loan Scheme:
Many nationalized banks offer loans to the trainees to pursue NTTF courses as per their norms.

Scholarship: Deserving meritorious candidates from economically weaker sections will be considered for NTTF loan scholarship, and the candidates will have to execute a bond to serve NTTF for two years if called for after the completion of training with due remuneration as per NTTF norms.

Please opt any one of the centre of your choice in column no 12 in the application form. In case NTTF decides to add any new entrance examination centre, near to your residence you will be given the choice of that centre.
