Applications are invited from both Men and Women candidates for admission to the following courses in the Madurai Kamaraj University College for the academic year 2008-2009.

M.A. (Tourism Management)

MCA: (Computer Applications)

M.Phil COURSES
Commerce, Computer Science

PG Diploma in catering & Hotel Management (PGDCHM)
One Year Craft Course in Food Production

Eligibility:
UG Courses:
Students with 10+2 qualification are eligible to apply for the relevant degree course as given in the prospectus.

PG Courses:
M.A.(T.M.), M.A. (Pub.Admn), M.Com (Banking), M.Com (Finance) and M.Sc. (CS&IT)
Any degree of the Madurai Kamaraj University or its equivalent (10+2+3) pattern.

Master of Computer Applications (MCA):
Any degree (10+2+3 or 4 pattern) of Madurai Kamaraj University level or its equivalent with Mathematics as compulsory subject at 10+2 level (or) any degree with Computer Science/ Computer Application as major/vocational subjects. Candidates with Business Maths at +2 level are not eligible to apply for this course. Applicants seeking admission to MCA course should submit their TANCET – 2008 score with in 15 days from the date of publication of TANCET results.

M.Phil Courses:
Commerce: M.Com (Banking), M.Com (Finance), M.B.M., M.F.C. or its equivalent

Computer Science: Master Degree in Computer Science/IT, MCA, MS, (IT or IT&M) or its equivalent. (Students who are awaiting results of UG or the PG and M.Phil courses respectively).

Diploma and Certificate Courses:
PGDCHM: Any Degree, Craft Course in Food Production: A pass in S.S.L.C. or equivalent.

COST OF APPLICATION:
UG: Rs.100/-; B.Sc.(HMCS): Rs.300/-, PG: Rs.300/-, MCA: Rs.500/-, M.Phil: Rs.300/-

The SC/ST students are fully exempted from paying the application cost or anyone of these courses.

PROCEDURE FOR OBTAINING APPLICATION FORM
Application Form with prospectus can be had from the Principal, MKU College, Alagarkoil Road, Madurai-625002 either in person or by post. The application can be obtained in person by submitting a Crossed Demand Draft from any Nationalized bank drawn in favour of “The Principal, M.K.U. College, Madurai-2” payable at Madurai along with a request, indicating the name of the course for which the candidates is seeking admission. SC/ST candidates are required to bring the original communicate certificate and submit an attested copy of the same.

If application is to be sent by post, a self addressed and RS.10/- stamped envelope of size 28cmx12cm is to be enclosed along with the Demand Draft and a request letter. SC/ST students are required to enclose an attested copy of their community certificate.

Note: Cash, Cheque, Money Order or Postal Order will not be accepted.

LAST DATE FOR THE RECEIPT OF FILLED IN APPLICATION FORM
(i) For UG Course: on or before 25.05.2008
(ii) For PG Courses: on or before 15.06.2008
(iii) For M.Phil. Courses: on or before 25.06.2008
(iv) Diploma/ Craft Courses: on or before 15.06.2008

The M.K.U College is not responsible for any postal delay, Cost of application once paid will not be refunded under any circumstances.
