KLE University All India Entrance Test (KLEU-AIET-2010)

KLE University All India Entrance Test (KLEU-AIET-2010) for admission to the MBBS/BDS Courses at Jawaharlal Nehru Medical College, Belgaum and KLE V.K. Institute of Dental Sciences, Belgaum under the KLE Academy of Higher Education and Research, Belgaum, will be held from 2 pm to 5 pm 8th May (Saturday) at Belgaum, Bangalore, Pune, New Delhi, Hyderabad, Ahmedabad, Indore, Panjim, Chandigarh, Coimbatore, Kolkata, Jaipur, Guwahati, Tirupathi, Vijayawada, Cochin, Madurai, Chennai and Kottayam.
The test will have 200 multiple-choice questions of single best answer type with 50 questions each from Physics, Chemistry, Botany & Zoology. The questions will be based on the 10+2 syllabus followed by major 10+2 Boards/Universities. The detailed Syllabus is available at http://www.kleuniversity.edu.in. Each correct answer will get one mark. There is no negative marking.

Applicant should complete 17 years of age on or before the first day of December 2010 and should have passed the Higher Secondary Certificate Examination PUC II/HSC or the Indian School Certificate Examination (ISCE) or any other examination equivalent to 10+2/HSC examination of any recognized Board/University from any School/College situated in India/Abroad after 12 years of study and should have passed in Physics, Chemistry, Biology & English individually & must have obtained at least 50% marks in Physics, Chemistry & Biology taken together in the qualifying examination. Candidate should also secure at least 50% marks in Physics, Chemistry & Biology taken together at KLEU-AIET-2010 for admission to BDS course.

Those seeking admission to MBBS course should have scored 50% marks in English language and a minimum of 65% marks in Physics, Chemistry and Biology taken together in the qualifying examination. Those who have appeared for 12th/PUC II/ 10+2/ HSC/ equivalent examination and are awaiting their results may appear for entrance exam subject to their securing minimum 65% marks in Physics, Chemistry and Biology taken together and 50% marks in English in the qualifying examination.

Those who are likely to appear or who have appeared for qualifying examination but whose results have not been declared can also appear for KLEU-AIET-2010, provided they have offered the above mentioned subjects at the said examination.

Applications who have been admitted to class 12th /PUCII/10+2/HSC/Equivalent earlier than April 2007, passed the same earlier than April 2008 are not eligible for apply. The seats reserved for SC/ST are only for those belonging to SC/ST category of Karnataka state. Eligibility criteria for students belonging to SC/ST category will be in accordance with rules framed by respective regulating councils. Details of reservation of seats can be seen in the Brochure.

The application form for admission to KLEU-AIET-2010 is common for MBBS/BDS courses. No separate form is prescribed for any particular course or college. Application can be submitted online at http://www.kleuniversity.edu.in/otherpgten/index.html till 17th April 2010. A copy of 'online' submitted application form must be printed and sent along with a Processing fee of Rs. 1500/- by way of DD favouring 'Registrar, KLE University', payable at Belgaum, Karnataka along with necessary documents.

Those who do not wish to submit application form online may obtain the application form along with a Brochure by sending a processing fee of Rs.2000/- by way of DD favouring 'Registrar, KLE University', payable at Belgaum.
