B.Sc.(HS), M.Sc.(HS), Admissions 2011-2012



Panjab University, Chandigarh

Applications have been invited by Panjab University, Chandigarh for admission to the self-financed courses B.Sc.(Hons. School) and M.Sc. (Hons.School) in Physics and Electronics for the academic session 2011-2012.

(i) B.Sc. (Hons. School) in Physics and Electronics (Seats: 23 + 3 NRI):
The merit list will be prepared on the basis of aggregate marks obtained in the 10+2 examination (science stream with Physics) to which marks obtained in Physics subject will be added again. The CET marks will not be considered for this course.
Interview date for B.Sc. (H.S.) will be intimated later through the Panjab University website only which the candidates are advised to visit. At the time of interview, the candidates must bring the testimonials in original for reservations/weightages to be claimed by them.
The course fee will be Rs. 15,000/- per semester plus Rs. 10,000 as Lab. Charges (annual). For NRI candidates, the annual fee will be US $ 2100 plus Rs. 10,000 as Lab. Charges.

(ii) M.Sc. (Hons. School) in Physics and Electronics (Seats: 23+3NRI)
The students after passing B.Sc. (H.S.) in Physics and Electronics will be eligible for admission to M.Sc. (H.S.) in Physics and Electronics without taking entrance test.
The merit list will be prepared on the basis of aggregate marks obtained in the B.Sc. examination (Non-medical) /B.Sc.(H.S.) in Physics.
The course fee will be Rs. 20,000/- per semester + Rs. 15,000/- as Lab. Charges (annual). For NRI candidates, the annual fee will be US $ 2100 + Rs. 15,000 as Lab. Charges.

The last date for submitting the application forms for admission to the self-financed courses B.Sc. (Hons. School) and M.Sc. (Hons. School) in Physics and Electronics (23+3 NRI seats in each course) is 4th July 2011.
