Department of Physics and Astrophysics under University of Delhi, Delhi has invited applications for admission to M.Tech in Nuclear Science and Technology for the Academic Year 2012-13.

Eligibility:
Minimum Eligibility Conditions
1. A candidate seeking admission to this course must qualify in the Joint Admission Test to MSc (JAM) Physics-2012 for admission to MSc and other post - BSc programmes, conducted by the Indian Institutes of Technology (IITs).
The candidates who qualify in JAM (Physics) -2012 by obtaining a rank in the merit list of a Test Paper shall be eligible to apply for admission to this program.
Few seats are also available for meritorious candidates qualifying the admission test for MSc Physics - 2012, conducted by the Department of Physics and Astrophysics, University of Delhi.
2. Minimum educational qualification for the course is same as in JAM-2012: Bachelor's degree with Physics as a subject for at least two years / four semesters and Mathematics for at least one year / two semesters.
3. All candidates shall be required to fulfill the following additional eligibility criteria for admission to this course:
At least 60% aggregate marks or equivalent grade for General category candidates.
Relaxation in marks in the minimum eligibility conditions for the candidates belonging to all reserved categories will be as per the Delhi University norms.
Relaxation in the Minimum eligibility requirements
Candidates belonging to the following categories shall be allowed a concession in the minimum eligibility requirements as detailed below:
 Scheduled Caste / Scheduled Tribe candidates: Candidates belonging to Scheduled Caste / Scheduled Tribe shall be allowed concession of 5% marks in the minimum eligibility requirements.
 OBC candidates: Candidates belonging to OBC category shall be allowed concession of 10% marks in the minimum eligibility requirement fixed for General Category candidates.
 Physically handicapped Candidates: The Physically Handicapped candidates shall be allowed concession of 5 % marks in the minimum eligibility requirements. Their provisional candidature is subject to their medical Examination by the University
Health Centre
 Children / Widows of the officers and men of the armed forces including para military personnel killed or disabled during hostilities and who die on duty. The candidates under this category shall be allowed concession of 5 % marks in the minimum eligibility requirements. Their provisional candidature is subject to production of Entitlement card from the competent authority in this behalf.

Admission under the categories (i), (ii), (iii) and (iv) is open to Indian Nationals only.

The duly filled application form along with the necessary documents and a bank draft of Rs. 250/- in favour of 'The Registrar, University of Delhi, payable at Delhi' must reach the following office by Monday, July 02, 2012.

The application form will be considered complete only if it is accompanied with 
 Photostat copies (only) of the detailed mark sheets of BSc Exam, 
 Matriculation / Secondary School Certificate bearing the date of birth, 
 Proof of rank for JAM Physics-2011 / MSc (Physics) Entrance Exam-2012, and 
 A bank draft of Rs.250/- (non-refundable) in favour of 'The Registrar, University of Delhi' payable at Delhi.
