The School of Distance Education under the University of Calicut has invited applications for admission to its various Postgraduate and Undergraduate courses include the following through distance education mode.

• MSc Mathematics - Eligibility : BSc Maths with 50% marks in Part III excluding subsidiaries or BSc Maths Plus MCA.
• MCom – Finance / Marketing - Eligibility : 45% in B.Com part II / BBA / BBS/ BBM.

• MA Economics – Eligibility : 45% in BA part III Economics main excluding subsidiaries / B.Com / 60 % marks in part III of BSc Maths / Statistics.

• MA Sociology, History, Political Science, Philosophy 45% in part III of any Bachelors degree.

• MA English, Malayalam, Hindi, Arabic, Sanskrit, Tamil 45% in part III BA of the concerned subjects or part II of BA / BSc (Part I English for MA English).

• BLISc – 50% marks in any degree.

• Bachelor of Multimedia Communication 45% marks in Kerala Plus two / equivalent examinations.

• BSc Mathematics – Pass in Kerala Plus two with Maths as a subject.

• BBA (Bachelors of Business Administration) 50% marks in Kerala Plus two.

• B.Com Co-operation / Finance – Pass in Kerala Plus two with at least one commerce subject or 45% marks in Kerala Plus Two or Diploma in Commercial practice.

• BA – History, Economics, Political Science, Sociology, English, Malayalam, Arabic, Philosophy, Hindi, Sanskrit , Tamil – Pass in Kerala Plus two or equivalent examinations.

Eligibility:
A Bachelor Degree in any subject of the University of Calicut or that of any other degree recognized by Calicut University under 10+2+3 pattern with 50% marks in aggregate including Languages. Applicants should obtain MAT score before the last date of submission of application. Applicants should attach copy of valid MAT score sheet along with their filled in application form, two sets of attested copies of the PDC/Plus-Two mark list (OBC/SC/ST/Students are allowed relaxation of marks as per rules. Those who are claiming reservation benefits for admission must attach Community Certificate, Nativity Certificate and Income Certificate obtained from competent authority within the last 6 months). Candidates awaiting their Degree result can also apply. But they should be qualified at the time of admission. The original plus two/PDC Mark list and MAT score sheet should be produced for verification at the time of Group Discussion and Personal Interview.

Selection:
Selection is based on Plus-Two/PDC marks and score obtained in the Group Discussion & Personal Interview to be conducted by the University at Calicut and Thrissur.

UNDERGRADUATE COURSES
1. BTHM (3 years)

Eligibility criteria: Pass in +2 or under 10+2 stream course equivalent and recognized by University of Calicut and age below 17 years as on 1st July 2008.

50% marks in Part III optional in any B.Sc Degree and approved by this University with Mathematics as one of the optional subject in +2 or B.Sc level (50% of seat at CHS, CUC will be admitted directly from B.Sc Food Technology students. They need not write the entrance examination and need not apply.)

PG Degree or Diploma (BPEd/BPE/DPEd) in Physical Education with at least one year duration of any University/Board with minimum 50% marks in aggregate. Should be below 28 years as on 1st July 2007 of admission year.

11 MCA (6 Semesters)

ii) B.Tech Degree with 50% in aggregate or BCA/B.Sc. Computer Science/B.Sc.IT/B.Sc. Electronics. 5% relaxation in marks for SE/BC Candidates and pass minimum for SC/ST Candidates of this University or an equivalent degree approved by this University.

5. Candidates applying for the courses listed above should write an Entrance examinations conducted by the University. However for some courses admission will be done after counting weightage for the qualification as the case may be as per admission rules.
