Admission/ Selection for all trades will be made District wise purely on the basis of the marks obtained in the qualifying examination prescribed for the respective trade. Only one application form should be filled by the candidate for admission.

It is notified to the Kashmiri Migrants that the State Government after considering the guidelines issued by All India Council for Technical Education and Ministry of Human Resources Development has reserved one seat in each Engineering/MBA/MCA/ M.Pharma/B. Pharmacy/Hotel Management and Catering Technology, Diploma in Engineering/Pharmacy/Hotel Management and Catering Technology in Polytechnic Colleges of the State of admission of Kashmiri Migrants for the academic session 2009-2010
A. The following are the guidelines for admission to the above mentioned courses
(i) The condition of domicile requirement for Kashmiri Migrants is waived off
(ii) Only those candidates will be considered who have got the proof of his/her being a Kashmiri migrant or a ward of Kashmiri migrant (certificate to be issued by Competent Authority)
(iii) Admission shall be made only on the basis of CET, MET, JET test conducted by the Punjab Technical University, Jalandhar, Punjabi University, Patiala and Punjab State Board of Technical Education and Industrial Training, Punjab, Chandigarh respectively during the academic session 2009-2010
(iv) Admission to Diploma in Pharmacy, 2nd year Degree course in Engineering (LEET), Diploma/Degree in Hotel Management & Catering Technology and M.Pharma shall be made on the basis of marks obtained in qualifying examination
(v) Choice of the College shall be given on the basis of Inter-se-merit amongst the candidates
(vi) The fee shall be charged as per rates fixed for the session 2009-2010
B. Counseling of Candidates
(i) Counseling of the candidates shall be held on 13.07.2009 in the Committee Room of Directorate of Technical Education and Industrial Training, Punjab, Plot No. 01, Sector 36-A, Chandigarh. Only those candidates shall be considered who have applied against these seats in time

1. Candidates who have already registered on http://www.tehadmissions.gov.in during 1st counseling are only eligible to participate in 2nd or 3rd counseling
2. Such registered candidates are required to be login on www.tehadmissions.gov.in using their user-ID and passwords (obtained earlier during registration for counseling on the same website)
3. On successful Login they will be shown their respective registration details for confirmation or for editing (in case of any mistake). Editing shall be possible at least 48 hours prior to cut off time for choice locking through HSCS by following a proper procedure.
Once any Registration detail is edited by HSCS, all the choices of the candidates filled earlier would be initialized/cancelled and it would be sole responsibility of the candidates to fill the choices again and also check that all choices are properly filled before locking, HSCS cannot be held responsible in these cases.
4. After confirmation of registration details, an undertaking shall be required to be ‘clicked’ by the candidate on the website that ‘I understand and accept that by participating in this counseling, my earlier admission/allotted seat if any will be cancelled automatically in case, I get new allotment in this counseling.’
5. On submission of this undertaking, the earlier choices, if any, which were submitted and saved by the candidates shall be made available to the candidate for modification, deletion, addition, reordering etc., if No choices were submitted earlier, candidate may submit new choices.
6. Such, finally modified/submitted choices will required to be saved/locked by the candidates for consideration in allotment of a seat in 2nd/3rd counseling
7. Above 5 steps are must to be followed by a candidate for appearing in the 2nd/3rd counseling, failing which candidate shall not be considered for 2nd/3rd counseling seat allotment
