Eligibility: Candidates appearing in the qualifying examinations are also eligible to apply. However, the candidate must produce the final result/ mark sheet of qualifying examination at the time of admission. The University reserves the right not to run a course if the required number of applicants are not available. Reservations to various categories shall be as per Govt, of India rules.
How To Apply: Admission to all above mentioned courses shall be made on the basis of Vishwavidyalaya Entrance Test (VET). Minimum Eligibility for each course and application form for VET along with the admission brochure can be downloaded from University (www.ggu.ac.irt). However, forms will be accepted only when accompanied with a DD of Rs 400/-(Rs 200/- for SC/ST candidates) in favor of the Registrar, Guru Ghasidas Vishwavidyalaya, payable at Bilaspur (CG). ELIGIBILITY
The eligibility of courses under the category of MBA/MCA/M.E/M.Tech/M.Arch are given below,

Candidates with section 'A & 'B' certificate holders and other similar certificate holder of professional bodies or societies ( e.g. A.M.I.E.) recognised by the Ministry of Human Resource Development, Govt, of India are consider to be equivalent to B.E./B.Tech. Degree programme only with 2 years industrial experience in the relavant field after successful completion of the course. An experience certificate is to be produced by the candidate.
Other state Candidates can write the Common Entrance Test, but eligibility conditions will be fixed by the admitting authorities.

Admissions to Higher degree Programmes are based on the performance of the candidates in the computer based online test and/or written test, group discussions and interviews. The details of test, syllabus for the test and admissions modality are available at the BITS website, The online tests will be held during 12lh -13,h June 2010 at planned centers in Bangalore, Chennai, Hyderabad, Goa, Kolkatta, Nagpur, Noida & Pilani subject to a certain minimum number of candidates opting for each center. Based on test performance candidates will be short listed and asked to come to Pilani/Goa/Hyderabad on 27th July 2010 for interview at their own cost.
For MBA Programme, shortlisted candidates called for interview at Pilani on 27th July 2010 will also have to appear
for a test in Reading Comprehension and a Group Discussion.
Admissions to MPH are based on the performance of the candidates in a written test, followed by Group
discussion and interview which will be conducted in Pilani on 27th July2010.

Eligibility for Admissions:
Any Higher Degree of BITS or its equivalent with a minimum of 60% aggregate in the qualifying examination. Any applicant with qualification equivalent to Integrated first degree of BITS will be first examined for suitability to one of the higher degree programmes of the Institute. Such candidates may first be admitted to the M.E./M.Phil. programmes offered by the Institute subject to the eligibility conditions. Shortlisted candidates will be called for a written test/interview for selections. Selected candidates will be given financial assistance in the form of either a fellowship of any government agency or of the Institute, project or teaching assistantship, full/partial tuition waiver or a combination of these. Such selected candidates will be required to participate in teaching and any other developmental activities of the Institute under the guidance of a mentor.
Industries and R & D Organizations collaborating with BITS can sponsor candidates to work for Ph.D under the Ph.D Aspirants Scheme. Under this Scheme such Employed professionals working in Industries and R&D Organizations having long experience and proven competence aspiring for Ph.D. programme will be considered and will be allowed to pursue their research at their own locations of work. Employed Professionals working in Industries holding any of the BITS degree may also be considered under this scheme.
ASSISTANTSHIP/SCHOLARSHIP
Applicants for admission to the higher degree and Ph.D. programmes will also be considered for financial assistance in the form of Teaching/Project/Research Assistantships. Such selected candidates will be required to participate in teaching and other developmental programme of the institute under the guidance of a mentor. A limited number of scholarships are available to deserving candidates admitted to Higher Degree/Ph.D. Programme.

Master’s degree in Engineering/Technology (For ECE, COE, ICE, MPAE) and Masters Degree in Science or Equivalent in relevant area of Applied Sciences with a consistently good academic record, (Securing 70% or more marks in aggregate).
Candidates selected for admission to the Ph.D. Programme will have to subsequently apply to the University of Delhi for Ph.D. registration as per Delhi University Rules.
Candidate applying for Ph.D. programme must ensure that their final result are declared on the last date of submission of application.
Financial Assistantship to Ph.D. Scholars
The institute aims at identifying suitable candidates having keen interest in teaching and research who would like to take up a career in Academics. In line with this objective, therefore, a scheme. “Teaching-cum-Research-fellowship” has been introduced. Exceptionally brilliant candidates having keen interests in an academic career, shall be considered for this fellowship.
An amount of Rs.15000/- P.M. (likely to be revised) is being paid under “Teaching-Cum-Research-Fellowship”. Successful candidates, on completion of Ph.D. under the scheme, stand good chance of being considered for absorption as faculty in this institute through proper Selection Committee.
A scheme also exists for the award of Research Assistantship for providing financial assistance to the students. In terms of this scheme, the student who is not found suitable for TRF but found suitable for research can be considered to Ph.D. Degree programme as research fellow with stipend/fellowship as per rule.
Selected candidates shall be required to deposit institute fee and other charges immediately at the time of registration for which he/she will be intimated before the date of registration well-before-the time. The amount payable by him/her will be in DD/cash as per rule.
No TA/DA will be admissible to the applicants called for written Test/Interview.

Research Internship 2010 at Microsoft – Bangalore
Microsoft Research offers internship opportunities at research locations around the world. The majority of our interns are PhD students in the field of Computer Science, related technical majors, or social sciences with a technical focus, but we also accept a small group of outstanding students with a proven research focus who are master’s or bachelor’s candidates. Internships at Microsoft Research provide students with the opportunity to apply research and theory to practice while working with well-known researchers and networking with fellow PhD students from around the world.
Duration: Internships at Microsoft Research last for a minimum of 12 weeks — long enough to develop a project and make a significant contribution. Most of our North America internship opportunities are available throughout the year, and we will work with you and your team to define best start and end dates.
Eligibility: Intern candidates must be students enrolled in a relevant field of study, such as computer science, engineering, or social sciences with a focus on computer technology. The majority of our interns are PhD candidates; however, we also accept some master’s and bachelor’s students who demonstrated a serious interest in research.
