COMMON ADMISSION TEST

Course: Post Graduate diploma in VLSI & Embedded system

Duration: six months
Eligibility: Degree in Engineering. CSE/ECE/EEE & EIE/M.Sc.(Electronics) or equivalent \

Course contents: VLSI Design Methodology, Advanced Digital Design from front to back end using either verilog HDL or VHDL which also includes static Timing Analysis (Array Design, Standard cell based design & SoG Design) Analog and Mixed signal design Front end to back end design.

EDA TOOLS: CADENCE, Tanner, Mentor Graphics, xilinx.

Selection procedure: Admission will be based on a National level common admission test to evaluate applicants aptitude ands technical knowledge. The test will be of 2 hrs duration comprising of objective type questions. The criterion of selection will be based on the applicant’s performance in the test.
How to apply: Prescribed application forms and prospectus (containing rules and syllabus for entrance examination) can be had from CAD/CAM Department, central institute of tool design, Hyderabad-500037, by paying cash , or a crossed demand draft of Rs.300/-(SC/ST Candidates Rs.100/-) drawn in favor of :Principal Director, CITD, Hyderabad on any nationalized bank, preferably State Bank of Hyderabad, Balanagar branch, Hyderabad-37. The SC/ST Category candidates need to enclose a copy of caste certificate attested by Gazetted Officer.

Course Fee : The fee is Rs.45000/- (Rupees forty five thousand only)
Payable in two installments

First installment of Rs.25000/-at the time of counseling

Second installment of Rs.20000/- within 60 days ie. On or before 19.03.2009

A few seats of One year Pre-sea Marine Engineering Training course starting from 1st January 2009 are likely to remain vacant after admission of sponsored candidates. Available vacant seats will be filled up through direct admissions. Eligible candidates (male/female)of Indian nationality may apply.

Eligibility criteria: B.E./B.Tech (Mechanical or Naval Architecture) Degree from AICTE approved college or the IIT with minimum 50% marks in final year and minimum 50% marks in English in 10th or 12th standard.

Age: Maximum 25 years on date of commencement of training (Ist January 2009). Age relaxation of five years for SC/ST candidates and two years for female candidates applicable.

Medical st6andard: As per existing MS medical standards for pre sea training. Good health and eyesight in general. Medical fitness certificate from D.G.S. approved medical practitioner to be obtained before admission.

Selection criteria: Through merit and interview.
Course fee: Rs.200000/-(subject to revision by Management committee from time to time)

Processing fee: Rs.1000/-by DD issued by a nationalized bank in the name of “deputy director, Marine Engineering and research institute, Mumbai” payable at Mumbai.

Filling up of application form does not guarantee admission. Applications are invited on prescribed form for admission to MBBS course starting from 1st July 2009. The candidates shall be selected as per their merit in the Entrance Examination to be held on 19th April 2009 at Nagpur, Delhi, Hyderabad & Mumbai. Those students who are going to appear in 10+2 Higher Secondary Board Examination in March / April 2009 are also eligible to appear in the competitive Entrance Examination.

IN THE ENTRANCE EXAMINATION THE PAPER OF PHYSICS, CHEMISTRY AND BIOLOGY WILL HAVE MULTIPLE CHOICE QUESTIONS, WHILE THAT ON GANDHIAN THOUGHT WILL BE OF ESSAY AND / OR SHORT ANSWER TYPE.

The Prospectus and Application Form with syllabus, question papers of Gandhian thought for the last 5 years, with model question papers of Physics Chemistry and Biology can be had from the office of the Dean by remitting a sum of Rs.1050/- (Rs.1000 + Rs.50 as postal charges) only by Money order in favour of the Dean, Mahatma Gandhi Institute of Medical Sciences, Sevagram, District Wardha - 442102 or by paying Rs.1000/- in cash at the college counter. Candidates must write their full address in capital letters and phone number on the space for Communication and the space for sender's address on the money order form.

The Prospectus & Form will be available from 1st December 2008. The last date of receipt of filled up application with Entrance Examination fee of Rs. 1500/- is 27th February, 2009 and with an additional late fee of Rs.100/- is 12th March, 2009.

Eligibility:
The candidate must attain 17 years of age on or before 31st December of the year of admission. The Candidate must have passed 12th standard examination under 10+2 system of Maharashtra State Higher Secondary Education Board or equivalent examination of any recognised Board or any Indian University with English, Physics, Chemistry and Biology individually in each subject in one and the same attempt. The candidate must have obtained minimum 50% marks (40% in the case of SC/ ST/ VJ/ NT/ OBC) taken together in Physics, Chemistry and Biology.

The fee structure in MGIMS is as applicable to the Govt. Medical Colleges in Maharashtra State. The Institute does not have any paid seats.
