Indira Gandhi National Open University invites application for admission to Post Graduate Certificate in Oral Implantology and Post Graduate Certificate Endodontics. Those two programmes have been developed in collaboration with Dental Council of India (DCI) & The programmes are approved by DCI.

RECOGNITION
IGNOU is a CENTRAL UNIVERSITY established by an Act of Indian Parliament in 1985 (Act No. 50 of 1985). IGNOU Degrees/Diplomas/ Certificates are recognized by all the members of the Association of Indian Universities (AIU) and are at par with Degrees/Diplomas/Certificates of all Indian Universities/Deemed Universities/Institutions vide UGC Circular No. F.1-52/2000(CCP-II) dated 5th May, 2004, AIU Circular No. EV/II(449)/94/176915-177115 dated January 14, 1994 & AICFTE Circular No. AICTE/Academic/MOU-DEC/2005 dated May 13, 2005.

Post Graduate Certificate Endodontics (PGCE)
Eligibility: BDS (DCI Recognised)
Duration: 1 Year
Fee: 1,00,000/-

The Student Handbook and Prospectus-cum-Application Form can be obtained form the Regional Centres of IGNOU or Block 3, Room No.1, IGNOU, Maidan Garhi, New Delhi-110068 in person on payment of Rs. 500/- (Rupees Five Hundred Only) in cash or through post by sending an IPO/Demand Draft of Rs.550/- (Rupees Five Hundred Fifty only) in favour of IGNOU, Payable at New Delhi/ at the city of Regional Centre form where the Prospectus is required. Application Form and Prospectus can also be downloaded from the website (www.ignou.ac.in). The address of Regional Centres are available on the IGNOU website. The filled in application form downloaded from the website should also be sent along with IPO/ Demand Draft of Rs.550/- (Rupees Five Hundred Fifty only) in favour of IGNOU.

The filled in application forms should reach the Registrar, SR & ED, Block 12, Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU), MAIDAN GARHI, NEW DELHI-110068 on or before the last date of submission of applications.

Selection Procedures:
Selection of eligible candidates will be done on the basis of a combined entrance examination for the two programmes scheduled on 1st June 2008. Reservation in numbers of seats shall be as prescribed by Government of India rules. The programmes will be offered through selected dental colleges recognized by Dental Council of India (DCI) in Distance Learning Mode.

IMPORTANT NOTES:
1. The Entrance Test has been provided the Student Handbook & Prospectus 2008. Please see the instructions for filling up the Form.
2. If the students do not receive the Hall Ticket for appearing in the entrance test by 25th May, 2008, they can download the hall ticket from IGNOU Website, www.ignou.ac.in.
3. The result card will be sent to the students three weeks from the date of the entrance examination.
In case of non-receipt of the result card, please contact the Regional Centre of your area or SR & E Division for duplicate Result Card. The result card can also be downloaded from the IGNOU website. A separate form for admission will be sent to the qualified candidates along with the result card.
4. Those who qualify for admission will have to apply on the form sent along with the result card, to the Regional Director concerned. The student who qualifies in Entrance Test will be eligible for taking admission in July 2008 cycle.
5. Last date for submission of Application Form for admission along with result card, identity card and other relevant documents at the Regional Centre is 10th July, 2008.
