POST GRADUATE DIPLOMA IN DEVELOPMENTAL THERAPY
(MULTIPLE DISABILITES: PHYSICAL AND NEUROLOGICAL)

1. FOCUS
To train human resource to enhance functional and physical abilities of persons with disability towards an improved quality of life and to facilitate access to mainstream resources in their communities.

2. ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA
Qualification: Minimum 50% marks in Graduation in the following subjects:
1. Bachelor’s degree in Home Science, Human Biology, Anthropology, Zoology and Botany from a recognised University.
OR
2. Bachelor’s degree in Medical Sciences and Paramedical sciences from a recognised University.
OR
3. Bachelor’s degree in subjects other than those mentioned above from a recognised University with at least one year hands on experience in working with persons with disability and their families.
OR
4. Bachelor’s degree in any subject other than those mentioned in (1) and (2) from a recognised university with an allied course in the field of disability rehabilitation.
OR
5. Master’s degree in Child Development, Social Work or the subjects mentioned in (1) and 2)
OR
6. Master’s degree in subjects other than those mentioned in (1) and (2) with either one year hands on experience in working with persons with disability and their families or an allied course in the field of disability rehabilitation. Government norms applicable for SC / ST and persons with disability.

ADMISSION PROCEDURE
Students are selected through a systematic admission procedure consisting of written test, panel interview, and group discussion. Aptitude for work in the field of disability and development, communication and interpersonal skills is emphasized.

INTAKE CAPACITY: Maximum 20 students per academic year.

4. Master’s degree in Social work, Child Development or subjects mentioned in (1), (2) and (3) from a recognized University. Government norms applicable for SC / ST and persons with disability.
