NOTIFICATION


ADMISSION TO 3 YEARS HIGHER SPECIALITY COURSES (DM & MCH) IN TAMIL NADU GOVERNMENT MEDICAL COLLEGES FOR 2008-2009 SESSION


1. Application forms for the above courses will be available from the Deans for the following Medical Colleges from 03-06-2008 to 13-06-2008 (upto 3.00 PM) on all working days written request in person with a Crossed Demand Draft for Rs.2000/- (Rupees Two Thousand only) drawn in favour of the Secretary, Selection Committe, chennai-10 and dated not earlier than 01-06-2008 from any Branch of a NATIONALISED BANK, payable at CHENNAI. SC/ST Candidates are exempted from payment of fees for the application form and they should produce attested Xerox copy of the community certificate and a copy of the MD/MS / Provisional pass certificate while collecting the application form. Each candidates has to send only one application form.

2. No application will be issued at the Selection Committee Office, Kilpauk, Chennai-10.

3. (i) candidates aged more than 50 years as on 30-06-2008 are not eligible to apply.
(ii) candidate of Tamil Nadu Nativity by domiciliary status and other State candidates who studies their MBBS and Post Graduate Courses in Tamil Nadu Medical Colleges who claim only Tamil Nadu Nativity and not the nativity in other state alone are eligible to apply.
(iii) Candidates who have undergone a Higher Speciality degree in any discipline and Candidates who have joined any Higher Speicality Course and discontinued after the cut off date are not eligible to apply within two years from the date of discontinuation of the course.

4. Only Tamil Nadu Public Service Commission selected candidates from Tamil Nadu Medical Services who have completed three years of continuous satisfactory service as on 30-06-2008 will be considered under the seats earmarked for service candidate category. Other candidates will be considered under open category.

5. Before applying the candidates are advised to go through the detailed information regarding Eligibility, Entrance Examination, Mode of Selection, Courses and Colleges and other conditions applicable which are available in the Prospectus published in website: http://www.tnhealth.org. / www.tn.gov.in.

6. Candidates who passed Post Graduate Courses from other Universities have to produce the Eligibility Certificate form the Tamil Nadu Dr.MGR Medical University, Chennai.

7. The completed application along with enclosures should reach The Secretary, Selection Committee, No.162, Periyar E.V.R. High Road, Kilpauk, Chennai-600010 on or before 13-06-2008 by 5.00 PM.

8. Application Form can also be downloaded from website: http://www.tnhealth.org. / www.tn.gov.in. Such candidates have to enclose the Demand Draft for Rs.2000/- (Rupees Two Thousand only) in favour of the Secretary, Selection Committee, Chennai-10 while submitting the application. SC/ST candidates are exempted from the payment of cost of application fee.

9. The Entrance Examination for admission to Higher Speciality courses has been tentatively Fixed on 29-06-2008 and will be conducted at Chennai only.
