NIMHANS B.Sc. Paramedical Admissions 2011 for 10+2 candidates

NIMHANS invites applications for the following programmes
1. B.Sc. in Nursing 77 Seats
2. B.Sc. in Radiography 10 Seats#
3. B.Sc. in Anaesthesia Technology 06 Seats
4. PC B.Sc. in Nursing 10 Seats (For Sponsored Candidates only)

# 4 for Sponsored, 6 for private Candidates, If the number of candidates from either of the two category is less than indicated, the corresponding number of candidates will be selected from the other category.



A) ELIGIBILITY CONDITIONS FOR ADMISSION:


1. B.Sc. in Nursing: 4 years duration.
Minimum Qualification for Admission:

(i) Pre-University examination conducted by the department of Pre-University OR
(ii) Higher Secondary School Certificate Examination (12 years course) OR
(iii) Senior School Certificate Examination, Pre-degree Examination (10+2) OR (iv) An Equivalent with 12 years of Schooling from a recognized Board or University

With Physics, Chemistry, Biology and English with a minimum of 45%* marks aggregate.

2. B.Sc. in Radiography: 3 years duration.
Minimum Qualification for Admission:
(i) Pre-University examination conducted by the department of Pre-University OR
(ii) An Equivalent examination recognized by the NIMHANS, Bangalore OR
(iii) Job Oriented Diploma course from a recognized Board with Diagnostic Radiography as vocational subject or Equivalent
With Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, Biology & English with a minimum of 45%* aggregate

3. B.Sc. in Anaesthesia Technology: 3 years duration.
Minimum Qualification for Admission:
Pass in Two year Pre University Examination or equivalent with a Science group having secured an aggregate of 45%* in Science subjects

*40% in case of SC/ST Candidates.

Selection of Candidates for the above mentioned courses will be based on the marks obtained by the Candidate in the Qualifying Examination only.

Please note there will not be any Entrance Test.

4. PC B.Sc. in Nursing: 2 years duration.
Minimum Qualification for Admission:
The Candidate seeking admission to this course must:
a) Hold a Diploma in General Nursing & Midwifery (GNM)
b) Be a registered nurse
c) Have a minimum of 2years experience in a hospital or community health nursing
d) Have passed PUC examination in Arts/Science/Commerce
e) Have working knowledge of English
f) Shall be medically fit
g) Have good personal and professional record

INSTRUCTIONS:
1. Application form for all the courses are available online at the NIMHANS website www.nimhans.kar.nic.in The applications have to be filled online and submitted online. Printout of the Application Abstract with the latest passport size photograph affixed (in the column provided) along with the Demand Draft drawn in favour of The Director, NIMHANS, Bangalore560 029 and relevant enclosures should be sentto the Director, NIMHANS, Hosur Road, Bangalore -560 029 by superscribing the name of the cou rse(s) applied for on the Envelope without fail.

2. The application fee is Rs.1000/- per course for General candidates &Rs.750/- per course for SC/ST candidates.

3. Foreign Nationals are required to submit their applications through the Diplomatic Channel (through the Ministry of External Affairs). Sponsored candidates should submit their application through proper channel. The candidates should produce the sponsorship certificate in the prescribed format.

4. AGE LIMIT: The age of candidates for all B.Sc. courses should be between minimum of 17 years and maximum of 25 years as on 01.08.2011.
For PC B.Sc. course, the candidate who is above 48 years of age on 31st December 2011 shall not be eligible (As per INC guidelines).

5. Application is available online from :9th May 2011

6. Application is available online for final submission upto : 20th June 2011

7. Last date for receipt of Application abstract by post/courier : 25th June 2011

Incomplete applications, applications not submitted online, without enclosures i.e., Qualifying Exam Marks sheets, Caste Certificate in case of SC/ST/OBC Category & experience certificate if applicable and Applications without Demand Draft or insufficient Demand Draft will be rejected. The Demand Draft or application of the rejected candidates will not be returned at any cost. No communication will be given against the rejected applications. Demand Draft or enclosures sent subsequently will not be considered. Application abstract will strictly not be received after 25th June 2011.

No interim enquiry or correspondence will be entertained. List of selected candidates will be notified on the Institute's Notice Board and Website. The decision of the Director in all matters regarding selection will be final and no representation in any form will be entertained. The candidate must visit the website from time to time for all necessary details and updates on the above.
