THEME:
Globalization has impinged on management education more than on any other area of higher education. The subject of this conference is how management education across the world is responding to the ineluctable demands of globalization. It will bring together experienced academics from different parts of the world, as well as leading figures from Indian business and industry, to reflect and deliberate on what it would take for B-Schools to be effective and credible in their responses. Those responses would need to be over a wide front: from curriculum and pedagogy to industry–academic partnership. Above all, harnessing the possibilities of the internet and the knowledge economy.
Participants will review how various national management education systems, on the cusp of change, are coping with these tasks. Representing all the five continents in an exceptional gathering, the participants will provide a purposeful focus on management education for the benefit of both B-Schools and Indian corporate organizations in their role as demandeurs of trained managers for the country’s $ 1 Trillion economy. In keeping with its service to the cause of management education, XIME is pleased to present this conference as the third in the series that it has been hosting since 2005.
