ADMISSION NOTICE FOR MBBS PGME – 2008-2009
ACMS established under the aegis of Army Welfare Education Society (AWES) invites application from eligible/entitled candidates for admission to MBBS Course 2008-2009 recognized by GURU GOBIN SINGH INDRAPRASTHA UNIVERSITY (GGSIPU), Delhi.
ELIGIBILITY CONDITIONS:
The Children of following category of Army personnel are eligible:-
(a) Serving or retired army personnel in receipt of regular pension or SS officers served in Army for a minimum period of 10 years (b) Army personnel killed in action or those died during their service or disabled in action in Army (c) AMC/ADC officers presently serving with Navy or Air Force, served in Army for a minimum period of 10 years and are members of AOBF. (d) MNS Officers served in Army for a minimum period 10 years as regular MNS. APS personnel on deputation and have put in at least 10 years of service in Army or who have been directly recruited/commissioned in APS and retired after completing their minimum service qualifying for pension and TA personnel completed 10 years embodied service. (e) Adopted wards of Army personnel provided they have been legally adopted at least five years before admission. (f) Sons/Daughters of widows of Army personnel who were born of their mother’s first marriage and their mother has later re-married a civilian. (g) Step children of Army personnel who were born out of the wedlock where at least one parent belonged to Army.
AGE: Candidates should be at least 17 years as on 31.12.2008
No of Seats: One hundred (100) seats.
SELECTION: Mandatory for application to appear in Common Entrance Test – Code 23 (CET: MBBS 2008) conducted by GGSIPU, Delhi in two stages. State – I on 08 Jun. 2008 and stage II on 28 Jun. 2008. Eligible candidates short listed on the basis of CET marks will be called for counseling at ACMS in Jul.2008.
APPLICATION: Candidates required to buy prospectus of ACMS and Admission Brochure III of GGSIP University and apply to both the institutions separately.
Prospectus and Application Form of ACMS can be obtained:
(a) By sending a DD of Rs.570/- drawn in favour of Army College of Medical Scienes payable at Delhi (or by hand DD of Rs.500/-) from Registrar Army College of Meidcal Science, Near Base Hospital Delhi Cantt, PIN-110010. The name, Address and Phone Number of Candidates should be clearly mentoned on the back side of DD. In case of any query contact Phone: 011-25693701.
(b) From AWES, 153 Rajaji Marg, Kashmir House, Delhi. PIN-110011./AWES Cell, All Commnand HQ.
ADMISSION BROUCHRE III AND APPLICATION FORM OF GGSIP UNIVERSITY FOR APPEARING IN (CET: MBBS 2008) CAN BE OBTAINED:-
(a) From designated Branches of Punjab & Sind Bank all over India or
(b) By post from Joint Registrar (Academic), Room No. 108, Administrative Block, GGSIP University, Kashmere Gate, Delhi-110403. by sending following:-
1. An Application on plain paper.
2. A DD of Rs.800/- in favour of Registrar, Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University, payable at Delhi. The name, Address and Phone Number of Candidate should be clearly mentioned on the back side of Dd.
3. A self Addressed envelop of size 24x30 cms.

MISC: Selected candidates, after completion of MBBS and one year compulsory rotatory internship would be required to join Army Medical Corps as Short Service Commission Officer subject to availability of vacancies and their being found physically fit after undergoing open and transparent process of selection.

this college should also allow civilians to get enrolled.
it should be valid for children of those also who have served AMC for 5 years as SS OFFICER...
childrens with army background only understands the real need of the soldiers ... so it must be for them....
It's a great thing for wards of the Army who do not get equal opportunities like their civilian friends due to transfers and parents' committments of a different kind! Kudos to the Army top brass for conceptualising and giving birth to this brilliant idea !!
civilians should not be enrolled in this college as army has already kept AFMC admission open for everyone so there should be one college only for army officer children.
