Ph.D Admissions 2010 at Delhi Technological University

Delhi Technological University (DTU), formerly Delhi College of Engineering invites applications for the following full-time Ph.D scholars for 4 years. The areas in which the scholarships are available under the various departments are given below:

(i) Electrical/ Electronics & Communication/ Computer Engineering Departments: Electrical Machines and Drives, Power Systems, Control Systems, Power Electronics, Microwave Communication, DSP Micro Electronics Devises, VLSI/ Fault-Tolerant Computing.


(ii) Mechanical Engineering: Thermal Engineering, I C Engines, Turbo-machinery, Stress Analysis, Fluid Mechanics, Metal Forming and Foundry Technology, Industrial Engg., Welding Technology, CNC & Robotics, Technology Management, Flexible Manufacturing and Automation.

(iii) Civil Engineering: Structural Engg., Structural Dynamics, Earthquake Engg. Water Resources Engg., Environmental Engg., Experimental Mechanics.

(iv) Applied Physics: Material Science & Superconductivity, Thin-films, Fiber optics and Optical Communication and Quantum electronics, Carbon Nano Tube, Photonic Crystal.

(v) Applied Chemistry: Polymer Science & Technology, Material Science and Polymer Composites, lon-exchange, Electro Chemistry, Synthetic Organic Chemistry.

(vi) Applied Mathematics: Graph Theory, Information Theory, Numerical Simulation, Relativistic Cosmological Models, Algebra, Approximation Theory.

(vii) Humanities: Applied Economics, Engineering Economics, Labour Market Analysis, Techno-Economics Impact of Education.

(viii) Management: Operation Research, Technology Management, Innovation Management, Info System Management, Industrial Management and Finance Management.

• Eligibility/ Mode of selection:-

(i.) For engineering Disciplines: M.E./ M.Tech. in appropriate, branch from a recognised University/ Institution, with minimum 60% marks.

(ii.) For Applied Sciences: M.Sc. in appropriate branch from a recognised University/ Institution, with minimum 60% marks.

Eligible candidates will be selected on the basis of personal interview conducted by the University Research Council
.
(c) How to apply
Prospectus along with the application form can be obtained from DTU Campus either in person on submission of a Demand Draft/Pay Order of Rs. 1000/- or by post on remission Rs. 1100/- by a Demand Draft / Pay Order, drawn in favour of the Registrar, DTU, Delhi and payable at Delhi.

(i) 10.06.2010 (Thursday): Date of release of Application Forms
(ii) 21.06.2010 (Monday): Last date for receipt of request for Application Forms by Post
(iii) 25.06.2010 (Friday): Last date for selling the Application Forms at DTU by 1.00 p.m.
(iv) 25.06.2010 (Friday): Last date for receipt of completed Application Forms at DTU by 4.00 p.m.
