ADMISSION NOTIFICATION

National Institute for Empowerment of Persons with Multiple Disabilities (NIEPMD) is a central autonomous body under the Ministry of Social Justice & Empowerment, Govt. of India. One of the objectives of NIEPMD is to undertake development of human resources for management, training, rehabilitation, education, employment and social development of persons with multiple disabilities.

NIEPMD invites applications for admission into the following one year Diploma courses, recognized by RCI, Ministr of Social Justice & Empowerment, Govt. of India for the academic year 2008-2009.
Course:
1. Diploma in Special Education (Cerebral Palsy) (GEN:6, SC:2, ST:1, PH:1)
Eligibility: 10+2 or equivalent

2. Diploma in Special Education (Deaf Blindness) (GEN:6, SC:2, ST:1, PH:1)
Eligibility: 10+2 or equivalent

3. *Diploma in Special Education (Autism Spectrum Disorders) (GEN:9, SC:3, ST:2, PH:1)
Eligibility: 10+2 or equivalent

Mode of Selection:
Admission on merit based onthe marks obtained in the qualified examination i.e. 10+2
*Subject to approval of RCI.

Cost of Prospectus:
Rs.150/- for Gen; Rs.100 for SC/ST/PH Category

Mode of Payment:
DD from any Nationalized Bank in favour of Director, NIEPMD, Chennai.

The har copy of the duly filled in with the specified demand draft shall be submitted by post before the due date. Application without demand draft and copies of certificates will not be entertained.
