ADMISSION NOTICE 2008-2009

National Law School of Delhi, established in 2008 by Act 1 of 2008 of National Capital Territory of Delhi is another premier Law University Joining the band of premier Law Universities established in India. Vision of the University is to create a premier Global Legal Institute which would complete with the best within and outside India, with a View to imparting knowledge of various aspects of law to the youngsters and introduce them to a wide range of opportunities in legal profession across the globe. The state-of-the-art infrastructure of University with all facilities for learning and research in law is nearing completion at Section 14, Dwarka, New Delhi.

The University invites applications for a Five Year Integrated B.A. LL.B. (Hons.) degree programme for the academic year 2008-2009 commencing from August, 2008.

FIVE-YEAR B.A. LL.B. (Hons.) PROGRAMME
ELIGIBILITY:
Senior Secondary School Examination (10+2) System or equivalent Examination with not less than 50% marks in the aggregate (those who have appeared in the examination in March/April, 2008 can also apply)

AGE LIMIT: Below 21 years as on 1st July, 2008 (23 years in case of SC/ST candidates)

TOTAL SEATS: 80 (eighty) [70 seats on merit through All India Entrance Examination and 10 seats for direct admission to Foreign Nationals on merit]

RESERVATION: 15% for SC Candidates, 7.5% for ST Candidates, 3% for Persons with Disabilities.

FEE STRUCTURE:
Tuition Fee Rs.35000/- (tentative) per semester. Academic Support Service Fee and other fees, Hostel and Mess charges will be extra. Hostel residence is compulsory.

SCHOLARSHIPS:
The University provides liberal scholarships/ fee waivers for the needy and deserving students admitted to the course.

Admission will be strictly on merit through All India Entrance Examination to be conducted at Ahmedabad, Bangalore, Chandigarh, Chennai, Cochin, Delhi, Guwahati, Hyderabad, Jaipur, Jammu, Kolkata, Lucknow, Mumbai and Patna on Sunday, the 1st June, 2008 from 3.30 pm to 5.00 pm. If sufficient number of applications are not received for a centre, the University reserves the right to cancel the said centre and shift the applicants of that centre to another nearest centre.

Interested candidates may apply for admission on prescribed format application form printed as Annexure-I (refer The Hindu (CBE) May 4, 2008. p.9 for Application Format) along with a Demand Draft of Rs.1000/- (Rupees One Thousand only) for General Candidates and Rs.500/- (Rupees Five Hundred only) in case of SC & ST Candidates, drawn in favour of the Registrar, National Law School of Delhi, payable at Delhi along with copies of requisite Caste Certificate. Detailed information about the University would be available at the University website, which is under construction, by 15th May, 2008. Applications completed in all respects must reach in person or by post. The Registrar, National Law School of Delhi, C/o Nodal Officer Shri. L.K. Gaur. Joint Registrar, Room No.101-A, A-Block, 1st Floor, High Court of Delhi, Sher Shah Road, New Delhi, on or before 22nd May, 2008. Applications received after the last date shall not be entertained. The University will not be responsible for any postal delay.
